Obituary
Rouses Point - Marion J. Trerice, 92, formerly of Champlain, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home. She was born July 20, 1911, in Montreal, Quebec, the daughter of Charles and Ruth Hutchins Heavysege Jost. They predeceased her. She attended Stanstead College and Fine Arts College in Quebec. She was married to Robert L. Trerice, who predeceased her on Feb. 15, 1977. Mrs. Trerice was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary in the area. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, CVPH Auxiliary, Champlain Literary Club, Champlain Fire Department Auxiliary and the North Country Golf Club for many years. She also enjoyed flying and had a private pilot's license. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Lyman Jost. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Christ and St. John's Episcopal Church, 18 Butternut St., Champlain, N.Y. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Champlain, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ and St. John's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are with the M.B. Clark Funeral Home, Champlain.
