William Arsenault
February 14, 1927 – March 15, 2014
It is with heavy hearts we share the news of our father, grandfather and great grandfather William John Arsenault age 87 passing on March 15, 2014 at Glenn Haven Manor, New Glasgow, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Clarence and Martha (Purdy) Arsenault.
Dad was the jack of all trades. He worked at Enamel Heating for over 40 years and also at Amherst Foundry. He loved fishing and hunting.
Survived by daughters Gail (Chester) Kaye of Amherst, Karen (Edward) Hambly of Westville, NS; daughter in-law Marlene Arsenault of Amherst; grandchildren Norman, Cyndi, Jonathan, Tanya, Jeremy, John, Melissa, Greg; 10 great grandchildren; brothers Laurie and Fred; sisters Rose and Marie and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Margaret Gould; son Terry Arsenault; brothers Victor, Joe and Borden; sisters Rita Gates and Kathleen Simpson.
Cremation has taken place.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2 pm at Campbell’s Funeral Home (98 Church St, Amherst, 667-9906)
In Lieu of flowers, donations in William’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit or charity of choice.
