MCCURDY, Edward Clinton "Ted", 60, Lower Sackville. Passed away suddenly at home Friday January 2, 2009. Born in Toronto, Ontario he was a son of the late Clinton and Gwen McCurdy. Ted served 28 years in the Canadian Navy and retired as a Petty Officer 2nd Class and 5 years with the Commissionaires Corp. He enjoyed boxing and for 10 years he coached at the Sackville Boxing Club. He also enjoyed baseball and loved to read and watch TV. Ted is survived by his wife Linda (Robertson); sons, Chris (Amanda Vaughan), Lower Sackville; and Scott (Holly Leblanc), Edmonton, Alta.; brothers, Raymond (Leigh-Ann), Charlie (Kim); sister, Ruthanne (Mike) Hartin; sister-in-law, Diane McCurdy, all of Toronto, Ont.; mother-in-law, Reta Robertson, Broadway, Pictou Co.; sister-in-law, Lois (Gary) MacKenzie, Toronto, Ont.; Joan (Kevin) MacGillivray, Lismore, Pictou Co.; brother-in-law, Stewart (Dawn) Robertson, Edmonton, Alta.; Carl (Shelly) Robertson, Fort McMurray, Alta.; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his dog Sasha. He was predeceased by his brother Doug and father-in-law John Robertson. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday January 6 with a funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday January 7 all at Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville.
