Obituary
Clark Tingley Nelson 1929-2017
Clark Tingley Nelson , 88, of Curryville passed away on August 12th, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital.Â
Clark was born in Lower Cape on January 15th, 1929  the son of the late Henry and Frances (Tingley) Nelson. Â
Clark was a hard worker and was a Stationary Engineer, he worked for the NB Oil Fields in Weldon, Fundy National Park, Department of Transportation and Brunswick Bottling before his retirement. Â
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He was also the type of guy that would lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed driving his tractor and plow truck which he did as long as his health would let him. If anyone needed plowed out or helped out in anyway, Clark was there. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially a good game of 200 and spent hours at the table playing solitaire. Clark was a very gentle and kind man who was a great role model for his grandchildren and all the children that grew up around him. He will be remembered for his little chuckle when he laughed and that great smile. "His legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever."Â
He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Marion (Hawkes) Nelson; children,  Wendall Nelson (Karen) of Burlington ON, Mary Reid of Salem, Dale Nelson (Tony) of Toronto, ON and Joseph "Joe" Nelson of Curryville; daughter-in-law, Darlene Nelson of Dartmouth; his treasured grandchildren, Bruce, Robert, Kevin, Chris, Nancy, Lee, Jackie, Stephanie, Jamie, Nathan and Amanda; great grandchildren, Max, Cindy, Natasha, Hannah, Leah, Douglas, Dallas, Rebecca, Evan, Dustin, Luke, Noah, Travis and Eartha; great-great grandchildren, Myla and Isabel; sisters, Martha Nelson and Marie Nelson both of Lower Cape, Ruth O'Blenis (George) of Boundary Creek and Frances Douthwright of Riverview; sisters-in-law, Pearl Nelson of Riverview; Mabel Knowlton  and Bessie O'Brien both of Hillsborough. He will also be sadly missed by all his in-laws (the Hawkes family) and by all his extended family and many nieces and nephews.Â
Besides his parents he was predeceased by sons, Raymond, Paul and Stephen; son-in-law, Douglas Reid; granddaughter, Susan; sister, Lucinda; brothers Roy and Jack.Â
Honoring Clark's own wishes there will be no funeral service. A get together and gathering of relatives and friends will be held at the Lower Cape Community Hall on August 26th, 2017 from 2-4 pm. All are welcome to come and celebrate Clark's life, share stories and reminisce about all the good times. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, NB.Â
For those who wish donations to the Mountain View Cemetery would be greatly appreciated.Â
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H-3K2  734-2780. Online condolences can be made at www.albertcountyfh.com.
