  Obituary	Obituary Clarence Robert Charters, 80 of Second North River passed away on July 19, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton to the late Clarence and Loretta (Oulton) Charters. Robert was a self–employed truck driver. He was a longtime stock car racer at the local tracks where he was well known as "Mountain Man," he was a keen competitor, avid Nascar fan and a lifetime member of the Motorsport Hall of Fame. Survived and sadly missed by his children Terry (Bev) of Upper Coverdale, Larry (Louise) of Riverview, Lauretta and Michael both of Second North River; grandchildren Todd, Jason, Richard, John, Crystal, Brett, Zachery, Amy, Liam, Keith and Christopher; great–grandchildren Tiana, Tori, Raya Lynn, Emma, Logan, Alex, Raylynn, Autumn, Hope and Samara and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Betty, grandson Bradley; sister Phyllis and brother Gordon. The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses of 4200 wing at the Moncton Hospital. Arrangements in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372–4800). The family will be celebrating Robert's life at a later date.
