      Mrs. Bertha M. Casey.
      Baie Verte, Jan. 10 - The death of Mrs. Bertha Casey occurred recently at the Moncton Hospital following an accident in which she fractured a hip and failed to recover. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aphas Turner of Baie Verte, Mrs. Casey was 87 years of age. Surviving are one son, Clarence Casey in Montreal; one grandson, Capt. L.H. Rice, now serving with the R.C.A. in Italy, and three sisters, Mrs. George B. Goodwin, Fort Lawrence, N.S.; Mrs. W.H. Huston, Victoria, B.C., and Mrs. J.C. Brander, Baie Verte. Rev. J.H. Freestone, pastor of the Wesley Memorial Church, Moncton, conducted the funeral service and the body was placed in the vault where it will rest until spring when interment will be made in the Baie Verte cemetery.
