Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Merrill and Charlotte Lottie (Noiles) Strang. He is survived by his wife, the former Isabel Goodwin; daughter, Carolyn Brown (Mike), Amherst; sons, Garnet (Marie), Prince George, B.C.; Leslie (Ruth), Amherst; sister, Elaine Dickie, White Rock, B.C.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cumberland Memorial Chapel, Amherst, Rev. Danny Compton officiating. Burial will be in Amherst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Diabetes Association.
