Peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, with her family by her side, of Eva Isabel Gamble of Long Creek, formerly of O'Leary, aged 61, beloved wife of Ronnie Gamble.
Born in O'Leary on December 20, 1950, daughter of the late Ross and Edith (MacWilliams) Strang. Dear mother to Ross (Christina), Montaque, and Scott (Michele) Gamble, Brockton. Loving Nanny to Jacob, Nicole, Max and Maggie. Eva is survived by brother, Ian Strang, O'Leary; sister, Frances (Reggie) Wallace, Elmsdale; and brothers, Erroll Strang, Mill River and Charles Strang, Toronto. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Mary Gamble, Fortune Cove; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan Gamble, Fortune Cove; Joanne (Hugh) Gillespie, Toronto; Maxine (Grant) Ellis, West Cape; Paul (Pam) Gamble, Fortune Cove; Kelly (Troy) Gorrill, Cascumpec; Winnie Strang, Joan Strang, both of Charlottetown; Pat Strang, O'Leary; and Marilyn Strang, Mill River.
Predeceased by parents; brothers, Herbie, Donnie, Benjamin, Vernon, George and John; sisters, Freda, Doris, Florence; and father-in-law, Alden Gamble.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in the Cascumpec United Church Cemetery.
