Elma Armour MacCallum SACKVILLE, NB - Elma Armour MacCallum, 95, of Drew Nursing Home, Sackville and formerly of Lynwood Dr. Moncton passed away at her residence on Tuesday July 13, 2004. Born in Taylor Village, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Newcomb) Armour. Elma was a former employee of H.R. Cohen Law Firm, member of St. John's United Church and Pearl Rebekah Lodge. Elma had a great passion for gardening, entertaining people in her home, she also enjoyed cross stitching, needlepoint, making afghans and music, especially playing the piano. Elma is survived by nieces and nephews, Helen Smith (Wyman), Dorothy Armour (Desi), Wes Armour (Pat), Elma LeBlanc (Eusebe), Bunny Emeno (David), Charles Armour (Heddy), Joyce Sherwood (George), Ruth Lewis, Jean Pitre (Paul), Evelyn Bell (Howie), Reg Steeves (Lina), Wallace Fairweather (Linda), Robert Fairweather (Sandra), Stephen Fairweather. Also several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur (Art) MacCallum (April 1989); sisters, Hazel Steeves, Marion Fairweather, Lavinia Lewis; brothers, Everett and Gordon Armour; nephews, Fred Armour, Leslie Lewis. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, Thursday 7 to 9pm, Friday July 16, 2004, 12 noon until time of Funeral Service at 1:30pm with Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
