Borden Joseph Arsenault
AMHERST - Borden Joseph Arsenault age 73, of Amherst passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007 at home.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Clarence and Martha (Purdy) Arsenault.
Bordie enjoyed spending time at his son’s camp and had a passion for hunting, fishing and camping. He taught himself to play the guitar and loved listening to old time music, dancing, his grandchildren and family gatherings.In his earlier years he enjoyed his CB radio and recently spent time talking to his family and friends on his computer.
Bordie is survived by his son David (Janet) of Brookdale, daughters Bonnie Arsenault (Michael Greene) of Fort Lawrence, Cindy (Paul) Allen of Pugwash and Marlene (Roger) Crossman of Sackville, N.B. and their mother Gail, nine grandchildren Michael, Jillian, Mark, Amanda, Jason, Matthew, Kristopher, Corey and Bradley, two great grandchildren Morgan and Logan, special friend Audrey White and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three brothers Billy of Pictou, Freddie (Sarah) of Truemanville and Laurie (Cindy) of Northport, twin sisters Rose (Ron) Chapman of Brookdale and Marie (Dennis) Smith of Ontario.
Bordie is predeceased by brothers Victor and Joe and sisters Rita Gates and Kathleen Simpson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (667-9906)Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June21, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Rev. Bob Mack officiating.Interment will take place in the Fenwick Cemetery.
Donations in Bordie’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Blood Services.
