    Port Elgin, N.B. - The death of James Fields, age 58, of Ottawa, ON, occurred on Friday, September 7, 2007 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital following a short battle with cancer.

    Born in Moncton, he was a son of the Late Reginald Field and the Late Betty (Agnew) Field.

    He was a commissionaire in Ottawa at the RCMP Headquarters where he worked for the last several years.

    He is survived by his siblings Carolyn Fagan of St. Stephen, N.B., Wendy (William) Greenlaw of Rollingdam, N.B. and Susan (Arthur) Corning of Rollingdam, N.B.

    There is no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at the Fernwood Cemetery in Port Elgin, September 29, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements in care of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin, NB (538-2241).
