    Nora Bernice Tingley 1908 - 2004 Nora Bernice Tingley,95, of Forest dale home, formerly of Hopewell Hill passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the nursing home with her family by her side. Nora was born in Midway, Albert County on March 7, 1908, the daughter of the late Holmes and Susan (Huckins) Tingley. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Hopewell Hill Baptist Church. Nora took great pride in raising her family and cherished all the times spent with them. She was a very special lady who always had a smile for everyone. She was a very caring, gentle and kind person who will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She was the beloved mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by her two sons, Clinton Tingley of Hopewell Hill, David Tingley of Hopewell Hill; two daughters, Cindy Stevens (Roger) of Truro, Pearl Steeves (Bernie) of Hillsborough; two sisters, Verna MacLeod of Moncton, Marie Dixson (John) of Moncton; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Tingley of Middle Sex, Dorothy Tingley of Nova Scotia, Dora Tingley of Moncton; brother-in-law, Fred Lowrey of Halifax; five precious grandchildren, Glen, Jason, Vanessa, Mark and Jennifer. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband Wilfred Tingley; three brothers, Howard, Earl (Minnie), Everett; sister, Cora Lowrey; brothers-in-law, Weldon Tingley, Donald MacLeod. Nora will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 2pm with Rev. Aubrey Trail officiating. The interment will be held in the Hopewell Cemetery in the spring. Donations to the Forest Dale Auxiliary Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.     Verna V. (Stevens) MacLeod
    Verna V. (Stevens) MacLeod, 102, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough and formerly of Parkland Drive, Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, January 9, 2014.
    Born in Midway, Albert Co., she was the daughter of the late Holmes and Susan (Huckins) Tingley. Verna had been a member of Highfield Baptist Church since 1930, was past President of the Sunshine Class and served on the Teller Board for fifteen years with her church. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and the sick and spending precious time with her family and friends.
    Verna will be sadly missed by her daughter, Shirley (Stevens) McEwen (David) of Naples, FL; son, Gregory Stevens (Stacy Kelades-Stevens) of Sussex; grandchildren, Jane, Susan and John McEwen and Mark Stevens; ten great grandchildren; sister, Marie Dixson (late John) of Moncton; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Gordon E. Stevens (February 1974) and Donald N. MacLeod (June 1988); grandson, Steven McEwen; brothers, Howard, Earl and Everett Tingley and sisters, Nora and Cora.
    Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service for Verna will be held at Highfield Baptist Church on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev/ Daniel Cormier officiating. Reception following the service.     TINGLEY, CLIFTON HOWARD - 1923 - 2011; of Riverview, NB; passed away at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, on Friday, August 12, 2011, at the age of 88 years. Born in Midway, Albert Co; he was the son of the late Howard and Laura May (MacPherson) Tingley. Clifton retired after 26 years service with the Canadian National Railway, where he served in various capacities during that time. He was a veteran of WW II, he served with the 8th Canadian Hussars in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland, he was also a member of the Hillsborough Royal Canadian Legion Branch #32. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Dorothy Tingley; three sons Chester Tingley and his wife Nancy of Moncton, Oscar Tingley and his wife Louise of Riverview, and Garnet Tingley and his wife Wendy of Hampton, NB; a step-son Donald Beaumont (Nancy) of Oakville, ON; grandchildren Chester (Heidi), Trevor (Carol), Rebecca (Frank), Shelly (Matt), Heidi (James), Tanya (Rick), Amanda and Jackie (Mike); six great grandchildren; half brothers Doug Tingley (June) of Sable River, NS., Leonard Tingley of Digby, NS.; half sisters Madeline, Pauline and Verna; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant sister and by brothers Vincent and infant Kenneth.
    Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd, Riverview on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00pm and Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 12 noon until the time of the service. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The Hillsborough Legion Br. # 32 will hold a veterans service Monday evening August 15, 2011 at 6:45pm at the Riverview Funeral Home.     David John Tingley 1950-2008 David John Tingley, 57, of Hopewell Hill passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2008. He was born in Moncton on December 26, 1950. David was lovingly raised by Wilfred and Nora Tingley and resided in Hopewell Hill. He was a member of the Hopewell Hill Baptist Church. David worked as a janitor for the Riverside Consolidated School and also worked in the woods. He will be deeply missed by his two sons, Glenn Tingley (Tanya) and Jason Tingley (Loretta) both of Hillsborough; daughter, Amanda Sopha (Jamie)of Stanley; his seven precious grandchildren; sisters, Cindy Stevens (Roger) of Truro and Pearl Steeves (Bernie) of Hillsborough; brother, Clinton Tingley of Hopewell Hill. Besides Wilfred and Nora he was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Paul Steeves and Pastor Terry Branscombe conducting the service. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Marguerite Tingley of Middlesex, NB. She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Erika), Daryll, and one daughter, Brenda (Bruce) all of BC. Also survived by seven brothers, Holmes, Gary (Sherry), Douglas (Cora), Paul (Susan), all of BC, Richard (Crystal), Ontario, Rodney (Gayle) and Roger (Sharon), both of Middlesex, NB; two sisters, Susan (Andy) of Havelock, NB, Myrna of Salisbury, NB She was predeceased by one brother, Erskine. She will be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren and all who loved her. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chilliwack, BC.

    1948-2021 ~ Garry passed away peacefully with his wife, Sherry, by his side at Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey, BC after a short battle with cancer.
    Garry grew up in a family of 12 in Salisbury, New Brunswick. His eldest sister, Roxanna (predeceased) brought him out to Keremos, BC and he later chose Langley to be his home in 1968.
    He may have pumped your gas at the Happy Face Esso, delivered to you by Langley Freight, fixed your car at his Willoughby home garage (G.W. Mechanical) or put out your fire or attended at your accident as a volunteer fireman/chief from the Zone 4 firehall. Garry was an active member of the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs as well as the Chamber of Commerce. He even helped with Kurt Albert’s and Jack Froese’s mayoral campaigns.
    After he closed his mechanical business, he spent the last 15 years long haul trucking part-time for Weston Bread, Value Village, Costco, Purolator and Davonda Nurseries. He enjoyed the open road and hauled loads all over BC, Alberta and Manitoba. This gave him lots of opportunities to enjoy the scenery, talk with people and bring back new stories to tell us.
    Garry had the gift of gab and loved to share stories with his friends, family, customers or anyone who would listen. He loved the outdoors to go camping, hunting and fishing. He had many memorable Spring Break and Summer vacations with his grandchildren and was always eager to teach them how to ride a bike, tie their shoes, shoot a bb gun, plant a tree, drive a car or motorbike or just explore his acreage.
    Garry is survived by his wife, Sherry, daughters, Julie and Jody, son, Chase, step-sons, Shawn and Jay, grandchildren, Owen, Miranda, Emma, Ben, Remy, Teagan and Michael, brothers, Holmes, Roger, Rodney, Richard, Doug and Paul and sisters, Myrna and Susan.
    If you wish, you may make a charitable donation to Laurel Place, Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Foundation in memory of Garry.

    TINGLEY, CHESTER C. - 1948 - 2013 - Chester C. Tingley, 65, of Moncton, NB; passed away in Moncton, on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Born in Moncton, he is the son of Dorothy Tingley and the late Clifton H. Tingley. He was a former member of the Sunny Brae Baptist Church. Chester served with the RCAF from 1966-1967. He was formerly employed as a Conductor with the CNR and BC. Rail prior to his retirement. He was a member of AA the Clark Group, Chester enjoyed baking and cooking for others, he loved his cats, he also enjoyed to read and taking long walks. A loving man, he will be sadly missed by his wife Nancy L. Tingley; mother Dorothy Tingley of Riverview; mother-in-law Shirley Dewitte of Moncton; one daughter Rebecca LeClair (Frank) of Oromocto; two sons Trevor Tingley (Carol) of Moncton and Warrant Officer Chester W. Tingley (Heidi) of Petawawa, ON; seven grandchildren, Dimitri, MacKenzie and Amelia, Kendall, Kate, Hayden and Ella; three brothers Oscar (Louise) of Riverview, Garnet (Wendy) of Hampton and Don (Nancy) of Oakville, ON; as well as nieces, nephews, sister-in-law and brother-in-law.
    Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Wednesday, November 25, 2013, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Cecil Symes officiating.     TINGLEY, MICHAEL - Michael Roger Tingley, 36, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was a son of Rodney and Gayle (Carter) Tingley. Michael was owner-operator of Tingley's Cycle Salvage. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his children. He is survived and missed by his beloved wife Melissa (Missy) (Patten); his cherished children Kayla and Riley at home; parents Rodney and Gayle of Colpitts Settlement; brothers Kevin (Terry) and Christopher (Amethyst) of Colpitts Settlement and Steven of Toronto; maternal grandmother Dallice Carter of Colpitts Settlement; father and mother-in-law Sandy and Claire Patten of Steeves Mountain; special nieces and nephews Taylor, Adrienne, Brody and Gemini. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins including his Uncle Roger. Michael is predeceased by sister Crystal Gayle (1980); paternal grandparents Everett and Marguerite Tingley and maternal grandfather Lawrence Carter.
