    Obituary

    Rita LeBlanc
    1931-2016

Rita LeBlanc, 85, of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday August 14, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on July 16, 1931 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Alban and Gertrude (Belliveau) Roy.
Her family meant the most to her. Rita was a mother to 12 children, who later gave her many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren, each and every one held a loving place in her heart! Her hands were always busy creating some new gift to give at Christmas. Mom traveled many roads with Dad over the years. From camping in different parks, visiting many places, to singing at benefits, nursing homes and hospitals while Dad played his guitar and harmonica - bringing a smile and a two-step to many people over the years. She loved to dance and when the music started, her feet were ready to hit the floor. Her smile and the gleam in her eye will always be in our hearts.
Before she married, Mom worked for Woolworth’s and L’Évangeline newspaper in Moncton. After she married Dad, they owned and operated a grocery store in Irishtown. She worked for Joe LeBlanc at the Irishtown Grocer years later. She moved on to work at Dolphins in the Moncton Mall and finished her working career as manager for over 18 years at Dallaird’s Women Clothing store in Champlain Mall when she retired.
She is survived by eight daughters and three sons: Diana LeBlanc (Jean), Ronald (Roxanne), Armand (Val), and Eric (Pat), all of Memramcook, Annette Van Der Fluit (Conrad) of Springhill, NS, Anita LeBlanc (Gerry) of Lakeville, Jeannette Steeves (Allan) of Dundas, Theresa Morrison (Jamie) and Majella Remington (Wyatt), both of Moncton, Yvonne Moore (Chris) of Upper Coverdale and Edith Cormier (Roland Gautreau) of Beaumont; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and their spouses and partners; two brothers: Edgar (Geneva) and Denis (late Nancy); as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest ‘Ernie’ (2011); one son, Raymond (2015); one son-in-law, Junior (Wallace) Coates; two sisters: Edna and infant Melina; four brothers: Ovila , Zoël, Ernest and infant Joseph.

    Obituary

    Ronald LeBlanc, January 31, 2024

    Memramcook, NB –
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald LeBlanc, 68, that occurred on January 31st, 2024, at the Moncton Hospital.  He was the son of the late Ernest LeBlanc and the late Rita (Roy) LeBlanc.  He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Roxanne LeBlanc; his daughter, Nicole LeBlanc (Chris Robichaud) of Moncton; his two brothers: Armand (Val) LeBlanc and Eric (Pat) LeBlanc both of Memramcook; his eight sisters: Diane (late Jean) LeBlanc of Moncton, Jeanette (late Al) Steeves of Amherst, Annette (Conrad) Vanderfluit of Springhill, Anita (Gerry) LeBlanc of Lakeville, Theresa (Jamie) Morrison of Moncton, Majella (Wyatt) Remington of Slave lake, Yvonne (Chris) Moore of Salisbury, and Edith (Roland) Cormier of Pre-d’en-Haut; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ron lived a full life. He loved being a carpenter, from framing houses to building high rises and everything in between. After retiring due to health issues, he continued to enjoy woodworking, making scale models of heavy construction equipment. He also spent time with his brothers, Eric and Armand, sharing laughs and knowledge while building miniature structures that decorate our yards.
Ron was a Boy Scout leader, loved to go camping, planted hundreds of trees, and attended a Jubilee or two. Being outdoors was his happy place. Dogs were always welcome companions. I think Snuffy was his favourite. They enjoyed long drives and walking in the woods. His good nature, hearty laughs, and the occasional teasing of his sisters around the poker table will be greatly missed.
Thank you to all his caregivers over the years – Dr Gagnon, Dr Cormier and all the staff at UMF Dieppe; Pharmacists and staff at Dieppe Guardian; the many specialists who provided care and surgeries; the home care staff of the Extramural Program; and the dedicated and caring professionals at the Moncton Hospital Oncology ward.
There will be a gathering held at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, 506-857-1901) on Sunday, February 4
    th, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm.
In memory of Ronald, a donation can be made to the Adeline Vet Clinic Emergency Fund, the Food Depot Alimentaire, or the Scouts Canada. The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at the funeral home website. Arrangements under the professional care of Passage – Chartersville Funeral Co-operative and Cremation Centre.
