    OULTON, G. ANDREW, FCA - The death of Mr. George Andrew (Andy) Oulton of Sunset Lane, Rothesay N.B., husband of the late Audrey C. (Ross) Oulton, occurred on Saturday, February 16 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late George King Oulton and the late Mary (Emery) Oulton. Mr. Oulton was one of New Brunswick's most highly respected Chartered Accountants. He began his career with Hudson McMackin in 1938 ,(local predecessor firm to KPMG), shortly after his graduation in 1933 from Saint John High School. A Partner since 1944, he spent 40 years with that firm. He spent many years in dedicated service to his profession. He was awarded the FCA (Fellow of Chartered Accountants) designation in 1966 in recognition of his service as President during two separate terms, his many years on Council and in a number of other positions with the Institute. He was also a charter member of the Society of Registered Industrial Accountants (now CMA) of New Brunswick. He served nationally on the executive of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants as a member of Council (two terms), on the Executive Committee, as Vice-President, on the Inter-Provincial Education Committee and the Board of Examiners in Chief. He was very active in community life, where he held leadership roles in many organizations. He served as President and in executive positions with the N.B Competitive Festival of Music, the Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow), the Saint John Boys and Girls Club, the United Way, the Union Club, the Saint John Board of Trade, the Turnbull Nursing Home, the former Lancaster School District, and as Treasurer and Vestry member of St. James the Less Church. After his retirement in 1978 he served as Treasurer of Luxor Temple for ten years. His enjoyment of golf, curling and especially sailing led to terms as President of the Riverside Country Club, the St. Andrews Curling Club and as Commodore of the Royal Kennebeccasis Yacht Club. After his retirement Andy became and avid painter and was a member of the Saint John Art Club. He is survived by one son, Richard A. Oulton and his wife Judith of Rothesay, one sister Kathryn (Kay) Jenkyns of St. Albert, Alberta, two grandchildren, George Alexander (Alex) Oulton and Lauren Anne (Laurie) Oulton, and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (506-634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday February 19 at 2:00 p.m. Following cremation, interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
