    Obituary

CDR FRANK CHARLES ANDERSON, USCG, RET. (1922 - 2007)

Frank was born Wednesday March 1, 1922 in Anacortes, Washington, and passed away Saturday November 17, 2007, in Edmonds, following a stroke and a long bout with Alzheimer's.
Growing up in Anacortes, Frank enjoyed spending time in, on, and around the water. He was an avid Sea Scout. Frank graduated from Anacortes High School in 1940, and from the United States Coast Guard Academy, Class of 1946.
Frank served his country proudly for 24 years. He also earned an advanced degree in Naval Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953.
After leaving the Coast Guard, former Commander Anderson purchased and directed Industrial Electric Company of Everett, as President and CEO. As such, he was an enthusiastic member of the Everett Rotary Club. He was also a member of PROBUS of Everett.
His parents, Stanley and Gladys Anderson, and his sisters, Doris, wife of John Tursi, and Phyllis Lymangrover preceded Frank in death.
Frank is survived by Irene, his wife of 58 years. Frank's sweet way is fondly recalled by his daughter, Carla Good and her husband, Bill. He will be deeply missed by his son, Curt, and Curt's wife Megan. Frank was very proud of his two grandchildren, T. Ross and Elizabeth Good, and his nephews, Rand D. and Brad Lymangrover.
Frank is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, who we all feel lucky to have known.
There will be no formal service per Frank's request. However, remembrance may be made to: Providence Hospice Seattle, 425 Pontius Avenue N. #300, Seattle, WA 98109-5452
