    HOWE, ELLEN "ELLIE" ELIZABETH - The death of Ellen "Ellie" Elizabeth Howe of Saint John occurred unexpectedly on Sunday July 6, 2008 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Halifax, NS. Born 1964 in Saint John she was the daughter of Wilmot W.E. and Grace V. (Dickieson) Howe. Ellen worked as a Cook for the Correctional Centre, and previously for Swiss Chalet. She enjoyed playing baseball, Ice Hockey, canoeing, fishing, camping and spending time with her family. Besides her loving parents, she is survived by her devoted common-law-spouse, Brian MacDonald; step children, Reggie Chiasson, Celine Chiasson and Lisa MacDonald; grandchild, Tobias Cyr; she will be sadly missed by her siblings, David Howe (Kathie) of Saint John, Wayne Howe (Diane) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Jo-Anne Chiasson (Harven) of Saint John, Sherry Melanson (Stephen) of Kingston Peninsula, Barb Horgan (Peter) of Saint John, Pam Chiasson (Clifford) of Rowley, Fran McDevitt (Billy) of Saint John and Steven Howe (Sabra) of Saint John; two aunts Gladys Howe and Elizabeth Howe both of Saint John; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was predeceased by her brother Kevin Howe. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday 7-9 p.m and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
