SMITH, Anne Marie - 80, Northwood Manor, Halifax, died March 7, 1998, in QEII Health Science Centre, VG Site, Halifax. Â Born in Oxford, Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Harris and Ellen (Fraser) MacCormack. Â During her life, she has resided in Oxford, Amherst, Stellarton and Truro. Â She was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Truro; Southern Cross Rebekah Lodge, Stellarton, and Lioness Club, Truro. Â She enjoyed curling and singing in the choirs in Stellarton and Truro. Â She had also worked as a nursing assistant in Colchester County Hospital for some time. Â She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Mrs. Terrance Blower), Simcoe, Ont.; Judy, Dartmouth; sister, Marcia (Mrs. Ivan Currie), Dartmouth; brother, Carmen and wife Margaret, Bristol, N.B.; grandchildren, Dawn, Darren and Warren Laybolt; great-grandson, Troy; several nieces and nephews. Â She was a predeceased by her husband Laird; brothers, Alton, and Coll Maxie.
 Visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today and funeral service 1 p.m. Monday, both in the A.L. Mattattal Funeral Home, Dartmouth, Rev. Dr. P.A. McDonald officiating.  Burial in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Slyvester, Pictou Co.  No flowers by request.  Donations may be made to the Northwood Care Inc. or charity of choice.
