    McCORMACK, J. Gwendolyn, R.N. - 74, Montreal, Que., formerly of Oxford, passed away peacefully in Mount Sinai Hospital, Montreal, Saturday, October 21, 2006. Born in Mount Pleasant, Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late Earle and Verlie A. (Read) McCormack. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a registered nurse in various locations for a number of years. She was also employed as a public health nurse for a number of years. Surviving are sister, Willa R. Black, Oxford; brothers, Donald E. McCormack (Marion), Dartmouth; Eldon M. R. McCormack (Jean), Brookdale, Cumberland Co.; Victor R. McCormack, A. Roger McCormack (Wilna), Harris M. McCormack (Edna), all of Mount Pleasant. Also surviving are a number of aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brother-in-law, Charles W. Black. Cremation has taken place at the request of the deceased and a private family graveside service will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date with Rev. Gary MacDougall officiating. Donations may be made to the local food bank at the request of the deceased. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen's Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford.
