    Obituary

    William 'Bill'Langstroth
    1930-2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William 'Bill' Langstroth.  Bill died peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

Bill will be dearly missed by his wife Frances, his children David, Margot, William, and Dawn, his stepchildren Paul, Carol, and Gaye, his fifteen grandchildren, his brother David, his sister Betts, his second wife Anne, extended family, and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his mother and father, his first wife Shirley Dennison, and two grandchildren.

Bill grew up in Hampton, NB and Montreal, PQ.  After graduating with a fine arts degree from Mount Allison University, and a brief stint in the navy, he started to work at the CBC in Halifax, producing television shows such as Gazette and Don Messer's Jubilee.  He produced and co-hosted Singalong Jubilee, and continued to work at the CBC in Halifax and Toronto for over forty years.  Bill was a musician, artist, writer, photographer, and always a producer: at the time of his death he was working on a show he created for a local radio station.

Arrangements for Bill are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at St.Paul's Anglican Church in Sackville, NB, with Archdeacon Reginald Stockall officiating.  A reception at the church will follow.  At Bill's request there will be no visitation.  Interment will take place at the Hampton Rural Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Cardiac ICU at the Moncton Hospital for their tremendous care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
