    ROBERTSON, Lester Ross - 86, Barneys River Station, died March 13, 1999, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Barney River Station, he was a son of the late Harlan P. and Margaret (Bannerman) Robertson. He served with the RCAF in England as a Aero-engine Mechanic from 1941-1946. He owned and operated Robertson's Garage, Barneys River Station, from 1946-1996. He was a member of Barneys River Presbyterian Church, Kenzieville. Surviving are his wife, the former Gladys W. Smith; daughter, Ann and son-in-law Ivan DeCoste, Merigomish; son, Ian and daughter-in-law Jean, Barneys River Station; sisters, Chris (Mrs. Don Ritchie), Janet Robertson, New Glasgow; Lena (Mrs. Dr. Wendell Watters), Ancaster, Ont.; brothers, Lawrence, New Glasgow; Allison "Allie" MacLellans Brook; grandchildren, Emily and Warren Robertson; Jonathan DeCoste; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Emma; brothers, Fred, Everett, Donald. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in P & K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in Barneys River Presbyterian Church, Rev. Alex MacDonald officiating. Burial in Kenzieville cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to Barneys River Presbyterian Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

    Lester married Gladys Wilma Smith 4 Jul 1947, Barney's River, Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada. Gladys was born 20 Jun 1918, Avondale Station, Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada; died 9 Feb 2005, Barney's River Station, Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada; was buried 12 Feb 2005, Kenzieville Cemetery, Kenzieville, , Nova Scotia, Canada.
