Irene Boudreau
Irene H. Boudreau, 99, of Amherst, passed away peacefully at the Gables Lodge in Amherst with family by her side on Wednesday, July 20,2011.
Born in Joggins, NS, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Comeau) Boudreau.
Faithful to her church, she worked as housekeeper for St. Peters Parish in Dartmouth and St. Charles Parish in Amherst.
Left to mourn are sisters Eleanor Boudreau, Fredericton and Mildred Terrio, Nappan; brother David, Joggins.
She was predeceased by sisters Mellisa, Pricilla & Gladys Mills and brothers, Edgar, Arthur, Leon and William.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Main Street, River Hebert (902-251-2817) where visiting hours will take place on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mildred Joan Terrio
April 8, 1921 –February 24, 2015

The family wishes to announce her peaceful passing at the Northumberland Hall, Amherst on February 24, 2015 with family at her side.
Born in Joggins, Mildred was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Comeau) Boudreau.
Mildred was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her children dearly. Mildred was a wonderful grandmother and loving sister. She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed life in the community. She was an active member of her church and the CWL until her later years.
Mildred is survived by and will be dearly missed by her three sons, Robert(Muriel), Roger (Linda) and Gerald (Roseanna) and two daughters, Donna (late Rael) Hache and Anne (Jim) Lacey. Brother, David Boudreau and sister, Eleanor Boudreau. Twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband Jude; brothers, Edgar, Arthur, William and Leon; sisters, Melissa Boudreau, Gladys Mills, Irene Boudreau and Priscilla Devine.
She was a deeply religious person and had great faith in St. Anne de Beaupré.
Her remains are resting at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visitation on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:30 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Reception will follow in the parish hall.
Interment will take place in the spring beside her husband in the St. Denis Cemetery, Minudie, NS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mildred’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

David V. Boudreau
1931-2017
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of David Victor Boudreau, age 86, of Amherst, NS.  David passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre surrounded by family. 
Born in Joggins, NS, he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Comeau) Boudreau.
David worked for the department of highways.  He enjoyed belonging to and hanging out at the Joggins Fire Department, and acted as chief for many years.  He loved fishing and spending time outdoors.  David was a great handyman and mechanic.  If you needed something fixed around the house, or a car, he could do it.
He is survived by step children, Sharon Balleux, Amherst, Kim Hamilton, Amherst, Brett Hamilton, Joggins, Kate Kelly, USA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Eleanor Boudreau, Fredericton. 
He was predeceased by his wife Caroline Peutrell; step-daughter Gale Hamilton; infant sibling William, siblings Melissa, Edgar, Arthur, Irene, Gladys, Leon, Mildred and Priscilla.

Francis Joseph Perry

Francis J. Perry, 82, of Moncton,passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2016. Born in Joggins, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Philip and Elizabeth (Comeau) Perry. Francis was a retired Milk Delivery Man with 35 years’ service and 50 years’ service as a Movie Projectionist. He enjoyed camping, flower gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Francis will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, Ruby (St. Peters) Perry; children, Michael Perry (Kim) of Anagance, Gregory Perry (Nadine) of Moncton, Peter Perry (Charlene) of Shediac, David Perry of Riverview, Stephen Perry (Beth) of Moncton, Donna Williams (Mark) of Riverview and Angela Davis (Greg) of Moncton; thirteen grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by fourbrothers and three sisters. Francis was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Visitation hours at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. J Darrell LeBlanc
We regret to announce the passing of J. Darrell LeBlanc, 87, Pugwash, NS, formerly of Amherst and Joggins, NS, on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan. Born in Joggins, NS, on November 1, 1923, he was a son of the late James and Mellisa (Comeau) LeBlanc. Darrell worked as a hoist man for Hillcrest Mine in Joggins and later joined the Department of Highways as a welder and also was a foreman with Thompson Bros. for 28 years. He took great interest in his community and was a proud supporter of the Joggins Fossil Centre, providing historical information, earning him a lifetime admission pass. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, James (Lynda) Leblanc, Hamilton, ON; sister, Mary Louise (Edward) Middlemiss, Ottawa, ON; daughter in law, Irene LeBlanc, Ottawa, ON; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and his special friend and neighbour, Pauline (Harold) Pettigrew, Amherst. Besides his parents, Darrell was predeceased by his wife the former, Alice Terrio; son, Gerard in 2009 and two sons in infancy.Cremation has take place under the care and direction of Campbell`s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). It is with sadness we announce the passing of Ethel Mary Belliveau, age 82, of East Cumberland Lodge, NS formerly of Amherst and Joggins, NS. Ethel passed away on Friday, February 18th, 2022 at the Lodge in Pugwash. Born in Joggins, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Ethel (Comeau) Terrio.
Ethel was employed with Scotiabank for over 40 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Church & CWL. Ethel enjoyed handiwork and reading. She was an avid darts player and floor curler. 
Survived by 2 daughters, Lisa (Kevin) Strathearn, Amherst and Tracy (Mike Larose) Belliveau, Halifax, NS;  6 grandchildren, Evan, Kelsey, Bailey, Jessica, Ritchie and Matthew;  4 great grandchild, Parker, Brynn, Ava and Jack; brothers, David, James, William, Robert and Alex (Cathy); sisters, Nora (George), Janice (Terry), Susan (Ron), Debbie (Martin), Helen and Barbara Jean (William); special brother-in-law Richard as well many nieces and nephews.  
She was predeceased by her husband Bernie, a son Jeffrey, a sister, Doris and foster parents, Helen and James Como.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care and guidance of Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777) where a visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022 from 6 pm until 8 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, February 24th, 2022 at 11 am at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Joggins. In keeping with COVID restrictions, please e-mail info@jonesfamilyfuneralcentre.ca or call the office during office hours at 902-667-8777 to Pre-Register for both visitation and Funeral Mass.  Masks are mandatory. Proof of Double Vaccination and a government ID is also required. The funeral will be available to watch online on Thursday, February 24th 2022 at 5 pm.
Donations in memory of Ethel may be made to the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church.

Gerard Michael LeBlanc
We regret to announce the death of Gerard Michael LeBlanc of Ottawa, Ont. Born in Joggins, N.S., April 11, 1954, he was the son of John Darrell and the late Alice (Terrio) LeBlanc. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Irene (Hubert) LeBlanc and a brother Jim (Lynda) of Hamilton, Ont.; aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother and two brothers, Darrell and Patrick in infancy. He was a graduate of River Hebert High School and was employed by the Federal Government as an economist with the Grains and Oil Feed Division for over 30 years. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Joggins at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Ragged Reef Cemetery, or to a charity of your choice.
