    GOODWIN, Dorothy E. - 74, Amherst, passed away March 10, 2003, in Cumberland County Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Shinimicas, September 9, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Mildred (Smith) Goodwin. Dorothy worked with Bell Telephone in the late 50s and many years with Maritime Tel & Tel, Amherst, from where she retired several years ago. Dorothy is survived by sisters, Geraldine and husband William Christensen, Allison "Peggy" and husband David Beaton, both of Amherst; Joyce and husband Robert Fowler, Amherst Shore; her aunt, Firth McQuiggan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dorothy was predeceased by her niece, Carla Phillips (Christensen). Cremation has taken place and by Dorothy's request there will be no funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date in Lorneville Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre or L.A. Animal Shelter. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). www.campbelsfh.com
