Obituary
GOODWIN, Dorothy E. - 74, Amherst, passed away March 10, 2003, in Cumberland County Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Shinimicas, September 9, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Mildred (Smith) Goodwin. Dorothy worked with Bell Telephone in the late 50s and many years with Maritime Tel & Tel, Amherst, from where she retired several years ago. Dorothy is survived by sisters, Geraldine and husband William Christensen, Allison "Peggy" and husband David Beaton, both of Amherst; Joyce and husband Robert Fowler, Amherst Shore; her aunt, Firth McQuiggan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dorothy was predeceased by her niece, Carla Phillips (Christensen). Cremation has taken place and by Dorothy's request there will be no funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date in Lorneville Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre or L.A. Animal Shelter.
