    Allan E. MacCallum, 89, of Moncton, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday morning, November 20, 2010. Born in Tabusintac, he was the son of the late Clifford and Gertrude (Robertson) MacCallum. Allan was a retired CNR Carman, with 33 years service and was a former self employed carpenter. He was a Veteran of WWII and served overseas in England and Continental Europe with approximately five years service with the Canadian Army. Besides working with wood, he enjoyed vegetable gardening, socializing with his friends and spending precious time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Allan will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Erma (Dickson) MacCallum; children, Brad (Kathy), Riverview, Peggy Sinclair (Peter), Berry Mills, Paula Frost (Jeff), Moncton; precious grandchildren, Nathan (Heidi), Aaron (Ashley), Jordan, Danika and Abbie; sister, Annie Collins, Neguac; brother, Bill (Evelyn), Douglastown; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Eva and Martha; brothers, Ivan, Walter, Hiram, Earl, Len and Don.
    Visitation was held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, November 22, 2010, 1:30 pm, Mr. Bill Bryant and Mr. Leslie Beddoe officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of 3600 at the Moncton Hospital for the excellent care and compassion given to Allan during his stay.
