Brent "BC Babay" Darrell Cadman age 19 of Amherst passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, June 4, 2005. Born in Halifax he was the only son of Joan Haley (Cadman) of Amherst and Darrell Cadman of Sackville, N.B. Brent graduated from Amherst Regional High School in June of 2004 and returned this year for pleasure and to further his studies. While in school Brent was always willing to perform and entertain by rapping, singing and dancing. Brent greatly enjoyed school and showed great school spirit, he was the school mascot in his graduating year and he loved all his teachers and his peers. Brent was to attend broadcasting school in Halifax at the Atlantic Media Institute in September of 2005. He was employed at the Amherst Co-op Gas bar and would greet everyone with a smile. Brent loved all sports and was an avid Amherst Ramblers fan. Growing up Brent played many sports including swimming, wrestling, baseball, darts, bowling, basketball, tennis, weight lifting, frisbee, etc. For past time BC loved chatting on the computer, answering his ever-ringing cell phone, playing video games, writing rap lyrics (busting rhymes), playing cards, playing the bass, the guitar and spending the rest of his time with his friends and family. BC will be sadly missed by all that knew him and will be remembered, as he touched so many lives in his own special way. Besides his parents, Brent is survived by his maternal grandparents Frances and Gerard Haley of Amherst; several aunts including Jessie and Mary both of Amherst; a special great aunt Jessie Cormier of Amherst; and several uncles and cousins.
