    Obituary

    Charles Alder 1937-2015
The death of Charles Alder, 78, of Coburg, NB, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 after a period of illness.  Born in Anderson Settlement, Charlie was a son of the late Sydney and Jessie (Cadman) Alder.
Charlie and Sheila enjoyed many days together fishing.  He also had a passion for his garden and worked tirelessly in it each year.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 24 years, Sheila (nee Allen); seven step-children, Darlene, Diane, Cheryl, Bud, Timmy, Harry and Helen; three brothers, Olen, Austin and Ernie (Audrey) as well as a sister, Debbie.
Besides his parents, Charlie was predeceased by a brother, Arnold and sisters Violet LeBlanc and Hilda Nicholson.
Honoring Charlie's wishes, cremation has taken place and there is to be no visitation.  A graveside service will take place in the Midgic Cemetery in the spring.  Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin, (538-2241).
Donations in memory of Charlie may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
