IRVIN, Henry Rufus - 92, South Alton, Kings Co., died December 26, 1994, in Evergreen Nursing Home, Kentville. Born at Baxters Harbour, he was a son of the late Gordon and Edith (Thorpe) Irvin. He was a farmer all of his life in the Valley area and was a cooper. He was a member of the United Church of Canada.
Surviving are his son, Jim, South Alton; brother, Harold, Holliston, Mass.; sister, Ethel (Mrs. James Wood), Virginia; two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Josephine Corbett; brothers, Elmer, Fred.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Kentville. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul-St. Stephen United Church, Kentville, Rev. Boyd Vincent officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Donations to Kings branch, VON.Henry married Josepine Alena Corbett 23 Nov 1923, Kentville, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada.
