    TRENHOLM, DAISY CHLOE (BURNS) - AUGUST 19, 1909 - AUGUST 17, 2009 - It is with great sadness that the family of Daisy C. (Burns) Trenholm, of Cape Spear, N.B., announce her passing at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, N.B. on Monday, August 17, 2009. Daisy was 99 years of age. Born on August 19, 1909 in Cape Tormentine, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Vaughan and Elizabeth Ann (Oulton) Burns. Daisy lived all her life in Cape Spear, N.B. and was an upstanding person in her community. She played piano as well as the organ for the Cape Spear Church. Daisy was always up for a game of cards and enjoyed bingo in earlier days. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outdoors. Daisy will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend. Daisy will be sadly missed by her children, Donald (Duddy) Trenholm of Cape Spear, NB, Dana Trenholm of Port Elgin, NB and his wife Jean of Ontario, Joan (Ray) Pauley of Bayside, NB, Ouida Duguay of Petit Cap, NB, Keith Trenholm of Saint John, NB, Marilyn (Lionel) Halfkenny of Port Elgin, NB and Thomas (Nancy) Trenholm of Brookdale, NS; sister, Mary Field of Port Elgin, NB; sister-in-law, Norma Ferguson of Cape Tormentine, NB and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Lionel Trenholm in 2007; son Vaughn; two daughters-in-law, Patricia A. (Donald) Trenholm and Beatrice (Keith) Trenholm; son-in-law Abel (Ouida) Duguay and three brothers Borden, Harry and Harold and her sister Hilda Blacklock. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Trenholm home, #34 Cape Spear Cross Road, Cape Spear, N.B. The funeral service will take place at the Cape Tormentine United Church, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 2 PM with Rev. Bill Drysdale officiating. Burial will take place in the Bayfield Cemetery.     Cape Spear, N.B..- It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Borden “Duddy” Trenholm, 83, on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
    Born on April 23rd, 1931 in Cape Spear, N.B., he was the son of the late Lionel T. and Daisy C. (Burns) Trenholm.
    Duddy worked in Cape Spear in the woods where he cut logs as well as in saw mills, sawing and carrying lumber. He fished with his father and later on his own and finished his career with Marine Atlantic where he was employed from 1973 until 1996 when he retired. Duddy’s passion was hunting and he was good at it and he loved being in the woods and living close to nature. He also loved listening to bluegrass and old country music.
    Duddy leaves to mourn his daughter, Terry Lee MacLelland (Daryl Scallion); sisters, Joan (Ray) Pauley, Ouida Duguay (Leo Vautour) and Marilyn (Lionel) Halfkenny; brothers, Keith Trenholm and Thomas (Nancy) Trenholm; sister-in-law, Jean Trenholm; grandsons, Albert Ceretti, Donald Ceretti (Lisa Arbuckle) and Shawn (Catherine) MacLelland; great-grandsons, Austin Budd and Sebastian Ceretti as well as by several nieces and nephews.
    Besides his mom and dad, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Wall) Trenholm; brothers, Vaughn and Dana; brothers-in-law, Abel Duguay and Douglas Wall; sister-in-law, Beatrice Trenholm and by a special friend, Viola Boyce.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Duddy’s wishes, there will not be any visitation. There will be a celebration of his life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #81, Cape Tormentine on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 from 2 pm-4 pm and all are invited to attend.
    In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Duddy to the Sackville Memorial Hospital or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

    TRENHOLM, DANA GORDON - 1934 - 2014 - Port Elgin, N.B.- It is with sadness, but peace of heart, that the family of Dana Gordon Trenholm, announce his passing at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, N.B. on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Born on January 16, 1934 in Cape Spear, N.B., he was the son of the late Lionel and Daisy (Burns) Trenholm. Dana attended school in Cape Spear and Port Elgin, NB and was a graduate of Mount Allison University. Dana was employed with the Federal Government until his retirement. Dana will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jean (Allen) Trenholm of Burlington, Ontario; four children, Michael (Mary Lee) of Ottawa, Ontario, Mark (Bernadette) of Moncton, N.B., Jennifer (Cheryl) of Hamilton, Ontario and Joyce of Burlington, Ontario; seven grandchildren, Richard and David of Ottawa, Jordan, Rebekah, Michael and Rachel of Moncton and Claire Jean of Hamilton; three brothers, Donald (Duddy) Trenholm of Cape Spear, N.B., Keith Trenholm, of Saint John, NB and Thomas (Nancy) Trenholm of Brookdale, N.S; three sisters, Joan (Ray) Pauley of Bayside, N.B., Ouida Duguay of Shemogue, N.B. and Marilyn (Lionel) Halfkenny of Port Elgin, N.B. and by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Vaughn in 1990; brother-in-law, Abel Duguay and sister-in-law, Patricia Trenholm.
    Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). A time of visitation will take place at the Bayfield United Church on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 2 to 3 pm. The funeral service will take place at 3 pm, immediately following the visitation, with Wayne Jarvis, DLM officiating. A private burial for family will take place in the Bayfield Cemetery.     Leo Karter Trenholm
    It is with deep sadness that Nicholas Trenholm and Kimberly Giffin announce the birth and passing of their handsome little boy, Leo Karter Trenholm on January 25, 2014 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center.  
    Besides his mom and dad, Leo will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Karter; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Nancy Trenholm; maternal grandparents, Larry and Glenna Giffin, as well as by his aunts, uncles and other family members. 
    The family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone for their support and a special thank you to the nurses at CRHCC and Erin Campbell for their help with everything during this difficult time.
