When I was small a man came to our house in Melrose, Ma and introduced
himself as my Uncle Joe from California. He was my mothers birth brother. He came to see her, I was told, because he was not well. He told her another one of her brother's had
died. She had another brother who was named Billy, who was raised by another Hattie Family in Canada. He was in the RCAF. Maybe this was the baby, I don't know. I knew she
had a sister, because some years ago this sisters daughter came to Ma and saw my brother Stephen. She had been in College in New York and was taking some time off.
