Dec 10, 1998 I called Byron to see if they new were the Oulton twins , sons of William Oulton, had moved. Rachael recognized me immediatel y. She said that the one boy Jack Oulton had moved to the family hom e in Christina Lake. However he has a drinking problem and is not t o be trusted. Bill Oulton the twin brother had moved to Kamloops an d is more responsible. The mother of the twins is the nursing home an d Grand Forks, British Columbia and is not expected to live long. Sh e has altimers.
Dec 10, 1998 I talked to Jack (John)Oulton 1-250-447-9343 of Christin a Lake. He said he would be happy to let me go through the files an d copy what i wanted. He said however that he would like to go throug h the files and take out the junk before I came. I told him I would c all again in January.
I also tried to call W.A.(Bill) Oulton in Kamloops but there was no a nswer. Phone 1-250-573-3273 or cell 1-250-319-2219.

Talked with Jack (John Alexander Oulton) of Christina Lake becaus e I wanted to identify the William OUlton that was his father. Appare ntly I do not have his father in file. The father is William Brown Ou lton-the wife Irene Mary Middleton and the twin boys John Alexander a nd William Allen. As of this date Jan1, 1999 Irene is in a nursing ho me and is not able to communicate at all. John things his fathers fat her was Bedford Oulton.

OULTON, Charles Byron 1907 - 2011 Byron Oulton passed away on January 20, 2011 at the age of 103 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Rachel and daughter, Christine. Ralph was blessed with two loving wives; he is survived by his beloved wife Annie and predeceased by his wife Carrie (nee Cannon). Joan will be sadly missed by a daughter, Natalie (Paul) Smith, of Charlottetown; two sons, Bobby (Joanne) Foster, of Shediac and Ricky (Betty) Foster of Grand Barachois; four grandchildren, David, Chris, Graham, and Caroline; three great grandchildren; a very special niece, Nancy Foster; many nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of thirty-three years, John, in 1985, and a son Stephen in 2009.
 
Honoring Joan's wishes her remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin (538-2241).  There will be no visitation or service.

Barnum, Joan D.
Joan D. Barnum, born November 4, 1924 in Lowell, MA to Sabra Oulton Dursthoff and Dr. Leonard C. Dursthoff of Chelmsford, MA. She was educated in Chelmsford schools and graduated from Rogers Hall in Lowell and then in 1946 from Wellesley College.
She moved to Boston and started in publishing in various capacities as Editorial Assistant for D.C. Heath, a textbook company, then as Assistant Fashion & Beauty Editor for the Boston Herald-Traveler writing daily columns on beauty tips and feature articles for the women's pages. She also worked for McGraw-Hill and making educational film strips for schools. She continued her work through the Flynn Gallery at the Greenwich Library where she wrote reviews and publicity articles.
She lived in Riverside from 1950 until moving to Edgehill Retirement Community in 2003. She was very socially active in Riverside and a long time member of The Riverside Yacht Club out of which she and her husband Bob sailed for many years. She was an avid reader, a gracious and engaging hostess over the years she lived in Riverside, co-captained with her husband as they cruised the coast together and with friends, loved to travel abroad, and was an active member of the Greenwich Junior League and the Wellesley Club of Fairfield County.
She is survived by her loving family - her husband Bob, of Stamford, her brother Leonard Dursthoff of Laguna Woods, CA, sons Will Morrison (Leslee) of Old Greenwich, Rob Morrison (Linda) of Falmouth, ME, her step-children Clint Barnum of Springfield, VT, Chuck Barnum of Palm Beach, FL, Lynne Wilkens (Bert) of Putney, VT, and David Barnum (Donnel) of Townshend, VT, and numerous devoted grandchildren and their spouses and children.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 21 at The First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA or to the First Congregational Church.

Alan Oulton 
January 31, 1936 - August 8, 2017 
The family of Alan James Oulton deeply regret to announce his sudden passing on August 8, 2017, at the age of 81. Al's dynamic and strong spirit led him to a lengthy career with the City of Edmonton Fire Department of which he was very proud. He was even prouder of the relationships he enjoyed with family and friends over a lifetime chock full of adventures. He is survived by his wife, Joy and his children, Cameron (Cheryl), Todd (Sherry), Kyla (Clint),Joanne (Kelvin), Darlene (Roger), nephew Dale (Debbie) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
