TWO AULAC RESIDENTS INSTANTLY KILLED BY FALLING BARN ROOF
Caught under a falling barn roof, two Aulac men, Carl Brown, 29, and Donald Siddall, 25, were instantly killed yesterday morning on the farm of William Brown at Aulac. Â In company with Eric Stiles, the two men were attempting to repair a section of the barn damaged earlier this week by gales. Â Yesterday's strong wind caught the roof and started to tear it away. Â As Brown and Siddall rushed outside, the section of the structure fell on them. Â Stiles remained inside and was uninjured. Â Coroner W.W. Meldrum of Sackville was called to the scene and decided that an inquest would be unnecessary. Â The Sackville detachment of the R.C.M.P. investigated the fatality. Â Brown was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Brown and a graduate of Sackville High School. Â He was a member of the Anglician Young Peoples and of St. Mark's Anglician church at Aulac. Â He had served as Warden of the Church for the past five years. Â Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Mrs. James McLeon, Quebec and Geraldine at home. Â the funeral service will be from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Â Siddall is survived by his wife and one child. Â His funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
