    Robert Fields Ellis, 94, died Sunday, July 31st, at his home in Hollis, NH. He was born in Somerville, Mass., July, 13th 1922, son of Herbert Ross Jennings Ellis and Florence (Foss) Ellis.
    He attended Malden High School. Upon completion, joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and was stationed in Wyoming. In March of 1941 he joined the United States Marine Corps, with basic training taking place at Parris Island in South Carolina. His duty stations included the Brooklyn and Philadelphia/Washington Navy Yards, Anacostia Naval Air station and service in the South Pacific during World War II. Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, he served with the Third Amphibious Corps, 8th Defense Battalion Anti-Aircraft, in Samoa, the Wallis Islands, Hawaii, the Gilbert Islands and Okinawa. After the end of WWII, Robert joined the United States Navy as a "Sea Bee", serving in Cuba.
    He was an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America, served with the Marine Corps League and various veteran organizations, such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He spent many years actively working for the Marine Corps Reserve "Toys for Tots" program.
    Robert is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Joan (Spooner) Ellis, formerly of Stoneham, Mass. He was the father of seven children, Robert Fields (Jr), Candice, Bonnie, David, Ross, Patricia and Charles; nine grandchildren, Richard, Rebecca, Sara, Emerald, Michael, Justin, Kayla, Amanda, Kara; and four greatgrandchildren, Adam, Kira, Rue and Raelee.
    Services will be in private. Donations can be made to the "Semper Fi Fund" "semperfifund.org" in Robert’s name.

    Johanne Louise Hirshson Khan, With heavy heart we announce the passing of Johanne H. Khan, loved mother and grandmother. Born April 13, 1931, Somerville, MA, died April 6, 2014, natural causes. Survived by children, Roshan Khan-O'Connell, Yusuf Khan; grandchildren, Daniel R. O'Connell, Liam O'Connell, Jacob Khan; daughter-in-law, Megan Khan, son-in-law Dan O'Connell. Graduated from Radcliffe College, MA. Traveled to Pakistan for work; married there. Returned and lived in Belmont, MA 50 years ; decades employee, McLean Hospital. Older sister of Paul Hirshson, Boston Globe reporter. Johanne was avid geneaologist, knitter, sewer, quilter; member of New England Quilter's Guild. Loved classical music, reading, crossword puzzles. Recent years spent happily, in front of her laptop, compiling photos of grandchildren, crossword puzzles and sending e-mail to family and friends. Will be buried with parents in Everett Cemetery. A visitation will be held in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Rd. Belmont on Sunday, June 1 from 2:30 - 3:00 pm. Followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

    Martha Jean Ellis was born in Boston, MA. on 2/16/50 To Herbert W. and Jean R. (Anderson) Ellis. She resided and grew up in Malden, Ma. She was a graduate of Malden High School and Shepard Gill Nursing School where she received her LPN license. Martha also attended Suffolk University. She moved to Florida in 1975 where she pursued a career in nursing. She changed professions while in Florida and became a Draftsperson. Martha loved her Scottish heritage and all that came with it, including trips to Scotland. She and her SO Robert Blanchard enjoyed and participated in the reenactments of the Civil War and Scottish Heritage Games. Martha was also an active participant in Colonial Reenactments, Mountain Men, and the Clan Anderson Tent Keeper at the Highland Games in Florida. Martha loved animals, she had many over the years including horses, ducks, geese, cats and dogs. Martha is survived by her SO Robert Blanchard, Brother Peter Ellis and wife Doreen, Sister Nancy Chase and husband James, Brother Douglas Cuccoli and wife Nancy. Nephews, nieces and their families; Peter M, Andrea, Jennifer, Christopher, Ian, Graham, Allison and Kristen. She is also survived by 7 great nephews and nieces, Uncle Richard Carpenter, her cousins Margaret Carpenter, Patricia Spencer, David Carpenter and their families, Aunt and Uncle Jennie and Nick Lamberti and their family. She was predeceased by her father, Herbert, mother Jean and Step Father Ferdinand Cuccoli.
    Memorial Services for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka, Florida.

    Ross Jennings Ellis, 54, Hollis, N.H., passed away suddenly Thursday, September 8th, 2016.
    Ross was born July 20th, 1962, in Glendale, California. He was a resident of Nashua, graduating from Nashua High School in 1980. He was a skilled carpenter, hard-working business man, and life coach. He took pride in his work and loved to teach others.
    Ross loved his family more than anything. His number one goal in life was to help people and focus on sharing positive energy.
    He is survived by his number one companion Cricket Ellis; son Ricky Ellis of Biloxi, Mississippi; daughter Rebecca Hasse and son-in-law Mason Hasse of Biloxi, Mississippi; two granddaughters Raelee Mae Hasse and Rue Marie Hasse of Biloxi, Mississippi; mother Joan Ellis of Hollis, N.H.; sister Patti Rogers of Nashua, N.H.; two brothers, David Ellis of Phoenix, Charles Ellis and wife Lorriei Ellis of Merrimack; and several nieces and nephews: Justin, Sarah, Kayla, Emerald, Michael and Adam.
    He is preceded in death by his brother Robert Ellis of Malden, Mass., and father Robert Ellis of Hollis, N.H.
