Raymond Arthur Jackson 1919 - 2009
Raymond A. Jackson, 89, of War Veterans Ave in Moncton and formerly of 210 Wedgewood Ave. Riverview, passed away at Veterans Health Care Centre in Moncton on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Born in Tidnish, NS he was the son of the late Ira Kirby Jackson and Della (Allen) Before his retirement, Raymond was the former owner the Jackson Save Easy on Pine Glen Rd. Riverview. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Cleveland Ave. where he was an active member of the St. Paul's fund raising committee. He was a charter member of the Riverview Lions and he was a member and former trustee of the Knights of Pythias. Raymond was a veteran and served overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy, he was also a member of the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association. He is survived by his daughter Virginia Malchow (Larry) of Whitehorse, Yukon; his sons Glenn Jackson (Barb) of Saskatoon, SK. and Art Jackson (Joan) of Calgary AB; seven grandchildren Pamela, Patty, Judy, Clayton, Andrea, Kristin and Amanda; six great grandchildren; two sisters Gweneth Embree and Barbara Jackson both of Lorneville, NS; as well as nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Genevieve (Greeno) Jackson in 1998 and by his brother Noel Jackson. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Monday January 19, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Cleveland Ave. in Riverview on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. The Riverview Veterans will conduct a veterans service at St. Paul's United Church on Monday, January 20, 2009 at 1:30pm. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Tidnish Bridge, NS in the spring. Donations in Raymond's memory made to the Diabetic Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family. Gweneth Gertrude Embree- We mourn the passing of our greatly loved Gweneth Embree (nee Jackson), in her 90th year at Ottawa on November 29, 2010. Born September 6, 1921 in Tidnish, she was the daughter of Ira and Della Jackson.
Gwennie grew up in Tidnish, NS, moving to Lorneville when she married Lester. Later, they moved to Riverview, NB, where they lived and worked for many years before retiring to their favourite place in the world, Lorneville. There they enjoyed over a decade together before Lester's death, enhanced by winters spent in Florida.
Gwennie is survived by her loving sister, Barbara Jackson, and beloved children, Donna Crabtree (Duart), Evelyn Torgerson, widowed, Byron Embree, Jackie Schulten (Carl) and Mary Livesey nee Dobson (Tom Savin), and her loving and admiring grandchildren, Gregory Dorey, Glynn Livesey (Rosemary), Darren Livesey (Sharon), Paul Crabtree (Carolyn), Robert Crabtree (Dorothy), Charlene Dorey Togerson (Brant), John Crabtree (Sandra), Lisa Embree, Susannah Crabtree (Jeremy), Emily Schulten (Garth), Julie Embree (Mark), Amelia Schulten and Dylan Embree. She was beloved Gramma Gwennie to her great grandchildren, Daniel Livesey, Adam and Christopher Torgerson, Derrick and Brandon Livesey, Madeleine and Hannah Crabtree, Duncan, Justin and Miranda Crabtree, Alison Schifano, Alexander and Andrew Crabtree, Claire and Luke Anglesey. She was loved and respected by her nieces and nephews and friends for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Lester Embree, her infant son, Roderick, and her brothers Raymond Jackson and Noel Jackson.
Gwennie was a wonderful role model to our family of unselfish love, fidelity, wit,industry,and resourcefulness. She never admitted defeat. She loved us all equally and was equally loved by all of us.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Gwennie's life at the Lorneville United Church at 11 a.m. on August 6th, 2011. Interment of her ashes in the Lorneville Cemetery and a reception at the church will follow.
Friends who wish to make a charitable gift in Gwennie's memory may donate to the Lorneville United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Barbara Margaret Jackson 1924-2013
Barbara Margaret Jackson, 89 years of age, of Amherst, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Cape Tormentine , NB she was a daughter of the late Ira & Della (Allen) Jackson.She was heavily involved with music all her life. She performed with five different bands through out the years. She was a school teacher, in various provinces; a life skills coach and she taught adult education.
She will be sadly missed by daughters; Linda Landert (Renato) of Ottawa, Terrey Stafford (Brian) of Burlington; sons, Ray (Sharon) of Halifax, Donald of Lorneville; grandchildren; René, Daniela, Cameron, Scott, Christopher, Melissa, Jessica, Leanna & Shawna; great grandchildren, Sophie, Jacob & Ayla.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her 1st Husband, John Oulton, 2nd husband, Eugene Jackson; sister, Gwenyth Embree; brothers, Raymond Jackson & Noel Jackson.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (667-8777). A memorial service will be held at the Furlong-Jones Chapel on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the Tidnish Bridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the C.R.H.C.C. Foundation or charity of choice.
