Obituary
NELSON M. STRANG: Nelson M. Strang, 56, of 30 Otis Street, Bangor, died at a local hospital Monday morning following a long period of ill health. Born in South Brewer, July 1, 1906, he was the eldest son of Charles and Maud (Stewart) Strang. Mr. Strang was employed by the Eastern Corporation the past 38 years. A veteran of World War II he enlisted in the CBMU, Battalion S92, U.S. Navy, and saw service overseas. He was a member of the Issac E. Clewley Post, VFW, and had lived in Bangor the past 33 years. Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife, Mrs. Mazie (Hickson) Strang of Bangor; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Dyer of Hampden, and Mrs. Shirley Duncan of Brewer; five brothers, Stewart of Boston, Mass., Wilbur H. of North Dighten, Mass., T-Sgt Tex C., U.S. Air Force, Alaska, and Richard and Ross, both of Hampden; several nieces and nephews, three aunts, and two uncles. Friends may call at the Crowe Funeral Home, 18 Forest Avenue, Bangor. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock.
