    SACKVILLE, NB - Mrs. Alice M. Suthern, age 86, of Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, NB and formerly of Rockport, (Wilbur's Cove), NB, passed away in Sackville, NB on Friday, September 19, 1997. Born on June 1, 1911 in Brooklyn, NB she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Clarissa (OULTON) Ward. Alice retired from D.O.T. #5 Supply Depot Moncton with 23 years service. A member of the Rockport United Church, Alice and her late husband, Frank, were instrumental in organizing the visitations and suppers for the visiting Memory Lane Singers. She will be sadly missed by her son, Orville of Dieppe; her sister, Frances Keenan of Moncton; her brother, Frank Ward of Kelowna, BC and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank S. Suthern in 1971 and by her three brothers, Stewart, Reuben and Roy Ward; her five sisters, Emma, Teckla, Julia, Ina and Nina. Visitation is at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home on Sunday, September 21, 1997 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, September 22, 1997 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. The funeral service will be held from Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 23, 1997 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Eldon Hay officiating. Interment is in the Garden of Apostles, Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Moncton. Donations to the Memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, (857-8564).

    Alice married Franklyn Stewart Suthern 2 Jun 1956. Franklyn was born 14 Dec 1902, Westport, Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada; died 29 Oct 1971, Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada. [Group Sheet]
