Dora Doiron 1913-2009
Dora Doiron, 96, wife of the late Léo Doiron of O'Bons Soins Residence, Shediac and formerly of Grand-Barachois passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born August 8, 1913 in Saint-André, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Vienneau and the late Antoinette Cormier.
She is survived by two daughters: Noëlla Gagnon (Jean-Guy) of Moncton, Antoinette Martin (Gérald) of Ottawa, ON, son Léo Paul (Delcia) of Grand-Barachois, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her husband Léo (1944), she is also predeceased by an infant son Antoine, two brothers: Aurèle and Léo Vienneau and by three sisters: Évangeline, Hélèna and her twin Yvonne.
Prior to her retirement, Dora was employed with Creaghan's Department Store for 12 years and was a past member of the Golden Age Club in Grand-Barachois.
Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:40 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Saint Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois. Doris Landry, 90, of the Villa Providence and formerly of Cap-Pelé, passed away suddenly surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 17, 2014 Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UCH.  Born October 30, 1923 in St-André, she was the daughter of the late Tilmon and Françoise (Cormier) Vienneau.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Bernadette Cormier and Rosella Caissie (Gaston) all of Moncton and Stella LeBlanc (Fernand) of St-Antoine; four sons: Oscar (Bonnie) of Moncton, Ola (Francine) of Dieppe, Émery "Cookie"(Jeannette) of Shediac and Léon (Gisèlle) of Cap-Pelé; two sisters: Lorraine O’Brien of Florida and Rita LeBlanc of Grand-Barachois; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gélas (2008); two sisters: Geneva and Eveline; two brothers: Adrice and Léandre.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure. 1919-2013

Irene Florence LeBlanc, age 93 of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center. Born in Amherst, She was a Daughter of the late Thaddy and Alvina (Vienneau) Richard.

Irene was lifetime member of the Holy Family Parish. In earlier years, she worked at the Maritime Pant Factory. Family was very important to Irene, she enjoyed spending time with her children. She was an avid card player and looked forward to playing with her friends.

Irene will be deeply missed by her daughters; Carolyn Ferguson of Amherst,Phyllis (William) Thompson of Amherst, and Claudette Boyd of Parry Sound, ON; son, Alan (Cathy) of Amherst; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sister, Bernadette Delaney of Montreal PQ; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Joseph LeBlanc in 1978, daughters,Theresa Murphy and Norma Beattie; twin granddaughters, Joan and Jeanette Ferguson; sisters, Lillian Richard, Laura Bourgeois, Emma Richard, Cecilia Trepanier, Yvonne Meganey, Anita Richard, and Leolynn Richard; brothers, Raymond, Rene, and Aurele.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (667-8777). Family and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Friday, June 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held from the Holy Family Parish at 1 pm on Saturday, June 15, Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Nativity Cemetery. ACTON- Mary Louise Shaughnessey, 75, formerly of Bedford, died March 16 at her home in Acton following a lengthy illness.
She was the wife of the late James C. Shaughnessey Jr.
She was born in Waltham on June 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Didace and Minnie (Leger) Vienneau. Mrs. Shaughnessey was a graduate of St. Charles High School in Waltham. She lived in Bedford from 1966 until 2005.
Mrs. Shaughnessey was a member of St. Michael's Church in Bedford.
She is survived by four sons, James C. Shaughnessey of Stow, David G. Shaughnessey of Westford, Paul E. Shaughnessey of Tyngsboro, and Michael A. Shaughnessey of Acton; a daughter, Ann M. Hurley of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Catherine Vienneau of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a niece, Patricia Scafidi; and several other nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 20,at the Church of St. Michael in Bedford.

Archibald (Archie) Joseph James Veno

Archibald (Archie) Joseph James Veno FORT LAWRENCE - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Archibald (Archie) Joseph James Veno age 73, of Fort Lawrence (God's Country), N.S. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 in Moncton Hospital, Moncton, N.B. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Edmund and Grace (Gould) Veno. Archie served in the Canadian Armed Services as a Peace Keeper in Middle East in his younger years. After his military career he became an industrial welder where he worked at Robb Engineering and later as a Vocational Welding Instructor at Dorchester Penitentiary, NB. He was then employed as Commissionaire at Highland View Regional Hospital. He had a passion for cooking and worked at various locations in the Amherst area before his semiretirement employment at the Nova Scotia Tourism Bureau. His pastime was consumed with his love for his children, grandchildren and his loyal dog and friend Patches. Archie also enjoyed playing dart alongside his wife and many friends. Archie and his love of life and everyday humour will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife and best friend the former Nellie (Dolly) MacKay, six daughters Barbra (Alan), Sherry (Mike), Teresa (Brian) all of Amherst, Diann (Bernard) of Bathurst, NB, Sandra (Dirk) and Marlene (Colin) both of BC and son Preston (Shay) of Amherst, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several cousins. Obituary

David E. Richard
1946-2018
David E. Richard, 71 years of age, of Amherst, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 8, 2018. Born in Amherst he was a son of the late Aurele & Ellen (White) Richard.
He worked as a diesel mechanic for the Town of Amherst for over 25 years. He was a volunteer with the Amherst RCAF and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion # 10. He enjoyed the hootenanny's at the legion and was always up for a good dance. He enjoyed having a drink with his friends at the Elm Tree.
David will be sadly missed by his children, Eric (Nadine) of Amherst, Tera Mitchell (Chris) of Amherst, Sean Spicer (Heidi) of Woodpoint, NB, Daniel Spicer of Charlottetown, PEI, Angela Spicer of Amherst; grandchildren, Seth, Cario, Aurelia, Colin, Austin, Jasmine; sisters, Diane Gauthier, Barbara MacLeod, Connie LeBlanc, Patsy Robins; brothers, Billy Richard, Bobbie Richard, Teddy Richard; extended family, several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his 1st wife, Joann, 2nd wife, Peggy, sister, Marilyn Trepanier.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of  Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where the family will receive visitors on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Furlong-Jones Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at  2 p.m. Burial to take place in the St. Charles- Nativity Cemetery in the spring.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of choice.
