    Norena"Nonie" White
    1933-2010
    The death of Norena (Nonie) White, age 77, of River Hebert, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Thursday, October 14, 2010.
    Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Frances (Burbine) Melanson.
    A member of St. Paul's Church, River Hebert, she was an avid country music fan and enjoyed Bingo and Bowling.
    Nonie will be sadly missed by her son Eric (Lola) Melanson, River Hebert, a step-son Wayne (Yulanda), Mississauga, and a step daughter, Susan, Hamilton; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alice Spence, River Hebert  and Jeannette (Gerald) Hatfield, Amherst.  She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Lester Ward in 1975 and her second husband, Orel White in 2007,  by a brother Harold Melanson, a sister Evelyn Spicer and by step-sons, Larry, Michael and Kenny.
    Nonie's remains have been cremated under the direction of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert from where visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm  with Parish Prayers at 8 PM.  Funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, River Hebert on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 11 am, burial in St. Denis Cemetery, Minudie.
