    ANITA CORMIER
    1928–2016

    Anita Cormier, 88, of Manoir de la Butte, Cap–Pelé and formerly of Saint–André–LeBlanc passed away at the Dr. Georges–L. Dumont UHC on Tuesday, June 21st, 2016. Born in St–André on April 11th,1928, she was the daughter of the late Napoléon and Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Goguen. Before her retirement, she was employed with Joe Landry. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters: Yvonne Vautour (late Yvon) of Trois–Ruisseaux and Nicole Cormier (Omer) of Saint–André–LeBlanc; three sisters: Anna Cormier and Eleonor Leger both of Cap–Pelé and Léonie Boleyn of Saint–André–LeBlanc; three brothers: Alphonse Goguen (Léona) of Saint–André–LeBlanc and Léonce Goguen (Léona) of Cap–Pelé and Albert Goguen (Corrine) of Five Island; four grandchildren: Nancy, Rachel, Yves and Dawn; six great–grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Auguste Cormier (1992); one infant son, Paul–Émile; one sister, Yvonne LeBlanc; two brothers: Adrice and Arthur. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap–Pelé (577–3297) on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure. The funeral service will be held at Ste. Thérèse d’Avila RC Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap–Pelé on Friday, June 24th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Anita, a contribution to the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Cap–Pelé (577–3297).     1930-2018
     -Age 87, of Lower Five Islands, Colchester County passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at South Cumberland Community Care Center, Parrsboro. Born in Cap-Pele, he was a son of the late Napoleon and Elizabeth (Leblanc) Goguen. He worked as a clam digger all of his life. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Corinne Cormier; daughters, Linda (Tony Lewis), Five Islands; Ann Stevens, Calgary, Alta; sons, Roger, Lower Five Islands; Ronnie (Marylynn), Parrsboro; sisters, Leonie Boleyn, Eleonore Legere; brothers, Alphonse (Leona); Leonce (Leona), all of New Brunswick; grandchildren, Corey, Jennifer, Christopher, Trisha, Caleb and Rhianna; great-grandchildren, Connor, Karter, Aliyah, Jordan, Joey, Kylie, Colby, Blake; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Smiths Funeral Home Parrsboro, where funeral will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018, Deacon Howie Goldstein officiating. Burial in St Brigid’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

    Alphonse Goguen
    1932 – 2023

    Alphonse Goguen, 90, of Faubourg du Mascaret “Pavillon Richard”, Moncton and formerly of St-André-LeBlanc, NB, passed away on Thursday, May 18th,2023, at his residence. Born in St-André-LeBlanc, NB, he was the son of the late Napoléon and the late Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Goguen.
    Prior to his retirement, he had worked many different jobs, at the lobster shop, smokehouse and carpentry. Alphonse was a family man, he would of talk to anyone, loved joking and was always happy. He enjoyed nature, especially being in the woods. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Léona (LeBlanc) Goguen; his daughters: Verna Goguen (Louis) of Moncton and Darlene Goguen-Gaudet (Michel) of Dieppe; his grandsons: Mathieu and Denis; his sisters: Léonie Boleyn (late Mike) of St-André-LeBlanc and Eleonor Leger (late Adrice) of Cap-Pelé; his brother, Léonce Goguen (Léona) of Cap-Pelé, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters: Yvonne, Anna and Anita and by his brothers: Adrice, Arthur and Albert.
    Visitation will beheld from Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Funeral Salon, Cap-Pelé, NB, on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 from 9 am to 10:15 am. Funeral mass will beheld from Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church, Cap-Pelé, NB, on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 at 10:30 am. In Alphonse’s memory, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Cap-Pelé Cemetery. The family invites you to sign a book of condolences at the funeral home website.
