Irene Boudreau
Irene H. Boudreau, 99, of Amherst, passed away peacefully at the Gables Lodge in Amherst with family by her side on Wednesday, July 20,2011.
Born in Joggins, NS, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Comeau) Boudreau.
Faithful to her church, she worked as housekeeper for St. Peters Parish in Dartmouth and St. Charles Parish in Amherst.
Left to mourn are sisters Eleanor Boudreau, Fredericton and Mildred Terrio, Nappan; brother David, Joggins.
She was predeceased by sisters Mellisa, Pricilla & Gladys Mills and brothers, Edgar, Arthur, Leon and William.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Main Street, River Hebert (902-251-2817) where visiting hours will take place on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, Joggins, on Friday at 11 am, Father David MacDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Cemetery.
