EDGETT'S LANDING, NB - Melvin Ottis Tingley , 84, of Albert Mines Rd., Edgett's Landing, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2003 at his home, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Melvin was born in Beaverbrook on September 14, 1919, the son of the late Darcy and Harriett (Gough) Tingley. He did lumbering and worked at Eastern Bakeries, and retired from Eaton's in Ontario. He attended the Curryville United Church. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 32, Hillsborough. He was a veteran and served as a Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineer. Melvin loved scenery and loved to travel and travelled across Canada twice and many other places in the United States and Barbados. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent time fishing and hunting. He liked making maple syrup and made many bottles for family and friends. He also was an avid gardener spending hours in his garden, winning 1st for the best vegetable garden in 1988. He also enjoyed reading. Later in life, Melvin took up oil painting which he enjoyed very much and was very well known around the community for his beautiful paintings. He was a very special person who always had a little smile for everyone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a beloved husband and he and his wife cherished the time they spent together . He will be deeply missed by his devoted and loving wife Marion; his daughter, Sarah Boyce (Chet) of Northwood, New Hampshire; sons, Morris Tingley (April) of Curryville and Kenneth Bannister of Oshawa, ON; three brothers, Arthur Tingley of Riverside-Albert, Charles Tingley (Stella) of RiversideAlbert and George Tingley (Elmonde) of Hillsborough; seven precious grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Alice and Marion; two brothers, James and Willard. Melvin will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held from the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mary Rowe officiating. The Legion will hold their memorial service just before the funeral service on Wednesday. Interment will be held in the Curryville United Cemetery, Curryville. Donations to the Curryville United Church, Curryville Cemetery, the Forest Dale Van Fund or the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Charles Everett Tingley 1921 - 2008 The death of Charles Everett Tingley, 86, of Moncton, formerly of Riverside-Albert, occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, July 4, 2008, following a lengthy illness. Born October 27, 1921 in Midway, NB, he was the son of the late Darcey and Harriett (Gough) Tingley. Charlie lived a full, productive life; he was a hard worker who had been employed as a lumberman in his earlier years, served as a Private in the Army, a land surveyor with the Department of Transport and spent twenty-two years as an employee of Fundy National Park up to the date of his retirement at age 65. Charlie had a sharp wit and was always ready to share a good story or silly little joke with family and friends. He had a strong faith in God and was an honorary deacon of the Albert Baptist Church. He was a very gentle, kind man who will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, of 59 years, Stella (Cameron); sons, Austin (Barb) of Hillsborough, Ernie (Florence) of Mississauga, Ivan of Riverside-Albert and Terry (Kim) of Riverview; daughters, Barbara Spence (Larry) of Hillsborough, Della Steeves of Hillsborough, Loretta Weir (Greg) of Lower Coverdale; special grand-daughter, Tammy (Jason) of Riverview; two brothers, George (Elmonde) of Hillsborough and Arthur of Albert. He had 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter Beatrice; grandson, Lawrence; brothers, Melvin, Willard and James; sisters, Marion and Alice. arion Adella Tingley, 77, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert, passed away at her residence on December 31, 2002.
She was born on November 16, 1925 the daughter of the late Darcey and Harriett (Gough) Tingley. Marion loved to play bingo and bowling, she also enjoyed taking part in many other activites at Forest Dale Home.
She was a beloved sister and will be sadly missed by her four brothers, Arthur Tingley of Riverside-Albert, Melvin Tingley (Marion) of Edgett's Landing, Charles Tingley (Stella) of Riverside-Albert, and George Tingley (Elmonde) of Hillsborough. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Marion was predeceased by a sister, Alice and two brothers, James and Willard.
The remains will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation Thursday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape on Friday, January 3,2002 at 2pm with Rev. David Keith Officiating. Internment will be held in the Bay View Cemetery at a later date.
Donations to the Forest Dale Home or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.

TINGLEY, ERNEST A. - 1950 - 2013 - The family of the late Ernest Adam Tingley would like to invite friends and relatives to join them for a Celebration of Life to honor their brother. Ernie was the son of the late Charles and Stella Tingley of Riverside-Albert, brother to Austin (Barb), Ivan, Terry (Kim), Barbara, Della (the late Garnett Steeves) and Loretta (Greg Weir). Ernie moved to Mississauga Ontario in 1969 where he met the love of his life, the late Florence (Goode) and became father to her six children: Mary Anne, Debbie, James, Paul, David and Paula. He had 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his wife, his parents, sister Beatrice and granddaughter Ashley.
