    Arthur B.C. Oulton

    Dr. Arthur B.C. Oulton, 91, Sarasota, died Dec. 18, 2006. He was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Baie Verte, New Brunswick, and came to Sarasota in 1986 from Reading, Mass. He was a financial analyst at A.G. Edwards in Boston and had been a superintendent of schools in Vermont and Massachusetts. He was a communications officer in the South Pacific, Australia and Japan during World War II and retired as a lieutenant. He received a bachelor's degree at Fitchburg State College, a master's degree in education at Boston University, and a doctorate in education from Calvin Coolidge College/Harvard University. He was a Mason for 50 years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters Joyce O. Repulski and Jean O. Philbrick of Sarasota; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 6 at Trinity United Methodist Church. National Cremation Society, Sarasota, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Senior Friendship Center, 1888 Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota, FL 34236; or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 4150 S. Shade Ave., Sarasota, FL 34231.
