CAMERON, Jennie I. - 85, Amherst, passed away April 26, 1998, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Cape Spear, she was a daughter of the late Enzor and Alice (Strang) Oulton. She was a graduate of Mount Allison Ladies College in 1931. She was a member of Meriam Rebekah Lodge; Trinity St. Stephen's United Church and UCW; Chignecto Presbytery; Maritime Conference; Liberal Party; Cumberland ITC, and former member of Amherst Golf Club. She was past president of Maritime Assembly of the Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Curling Club and Cumberland ITC. She was a life member of Nova Scotia Home and School Association and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a divisional commissioner for Girl Guides of Canada, Cumberland Co.; an active leader in youth groups and town councillor from 1963-1968. She received the prestigious Mayflower Award. She is survived by daughter, Joan Cameron and husband Stan Davis, Amherst; son, Stuart and wife Margaret, Halifax; brothers, Austin Oulton, Bayfield, N.B.; Blake Oulton, Bathhurst, N.B.; sister, Edna Agnew, St. Sauveur des Monts; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex M.; brother, Olen; sisters, Edythe, Charlotte. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m., Rebekah Lodge service 7 p.m., Eastern Star service 7:30 p.m., all Tuesday, April 28, in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst. Blake Oulton BATHURST, NB - Blake Oulton , 83, of Basin Street, Bathurst , died Tuesday (April 30,2002) at the hospital after a brief illness. Born in Cape Spear, NB, he was the son of the late Enzor and Alice (Strang) Oulton. He served as a Major with the North Shore Regiment during World War II . He was past president and member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He was a Commanding Officer of the North Shore Regiment from 1960 to 1964. He later became an Honorary Colonel. He was on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires; Past Grand Master and member of the Masonic Lodge St. John F&AM #27, Bathurst. He was the first president of the North Shore Shrine Club. He was the recipient of the 33rd Degree Honorary Inspector General in the Scottish Rite. He was a graduate of Mount Allison University and a past Counselor for the City of Bathurst. He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club and he was a member of the First United Church, Bathurst. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Irene King. He is survived by two sons, Stephen Oulton of Bathurst, Phillip Oulton (Cynthia) of Surrey, BC; one daughter, Cathy Lavigne of Port Elgin, Ont.; six grand children; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Alan in 1966. The body will rest after 7:00 pm at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral service will held on Saturday morning at 11:00 am from the First United Church, St. Patricks Street. Burial will be in the United Cemetery, Bridge Street. A Legion service will be held on Friday evening at 7:30pm and a Masonic service will be held at 8:00 pm from the Funeral Home. Visitation on Thursday 7 to 9 and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Obituary
BAYFIELD, NB - The death of Austin Oulton, age 80, of Bayfield, occurred suddenly at the Sackville Hospital on Thursday, June 14, 2001.
Born in Cape Spear, NB, he was a son of the late William E. and Alice M. (Strang) Oulton.
Austin was a member of the Westmorland Masonic Lodge #44 F & AM, having just received his 50 year pin. He was also a member of the Eastern Star, the Bayfield United Church, and an active member of the Bayfield Cemetery Committee. He was a life long farmer, and was a contractor having worked for the CNR and the Department of Highways.
Austin will be sadly missed by three sons, Donald (Sandrea) of Bayfield, Dale (Marty) of Brampton, ON, and Bruce (Nancy) of Bradford, ON; one daughter, Marlene Oulton of Moncton; one brother, Blake of Bathurst; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife the former Irene Ibbitson in 1985; one brother, Olen; and four sisters, Jennie, Edyth, Charlotte, and Edna.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Port Elgin with visitation on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home, Sunday, June 17, 2001 at 2:30pm.
Cremation will follow, burial will take place in the Bayfield Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Bayfield Cemetery or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

STRANG, DONALD MALCOLM 1930-2003 The death of Donald Malcolm Strang, husband of Dorothy of Riverview and formerly of Fredericton occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, April 16, 2003. Born in Saint John on June 5, 1930 he was the son of the late George and Estelle (Gallagher) Strang. He had lived for over forty years in Fredericton where he was employed in sales. He and his wife Dorothy retired to Riverview several years ago. In addition to his wife Dorothy he is survived by his daughters Karen Estey (Ray Imhoff) of Gaspe, PQ; Lori Dunphy (Jeffrey) of Fredericton; sons, Bruce (Susan) of Riverview; Gary (Carla) of Woodstock; and Donald (Susan) of Fredericton. He is also survived by his twin sister Doreen Gillen of Saint John as well as 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at Fair Haven Funeral Home. Interment took place in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
