Family stories heard from various relatives have said that Damien LeBlanc used to go to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and to various parts of New Brunswick on contracts to cut lumber. He would take a group of men with him and was boss of the lumber camp.
Buried:
His grandson, Damien s/o Peter maintains his grave and stone and showed me (A Owen) where his grave was located in the Haute Aboujagane Cemetery in the summer of 1999. It confirmed that I had found the correct grave in 1974.Damien married Philomene Leger 1881. Délia Niles 1918-2007 Délia Niles, 89, wife of the late Aimé Niles of Gaspé Street, Dieppe and formerly of Shediac passed away on Monday, October 22, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, following a lengthy illness. Born in Saint-André, August 7, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Émilienne (Bourgeois) LeBlanc. Prior to her retirement, Délia was employed with the Moncton Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her loving family; son, Gary and his wife Joan of Fredericton; a sister, Stella Cormier of Shediac; a brother, Damien LeBlanc (Jeannine) of Saint-André-LeBlanc; two grandchildren, Natalie Ploss (Christopher) of Neepawa, MB and Jennifer MacLeod (Matthew) of Moncton. Stella Cormier
1924-2014
Stella Cormier, 90, passed away on Thursday February 20, 2014 at the Auberge du Soleil Special Care Residence in Dieppe. Born on January 12, 1924 in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Émilienne (Bourgeois) LeBlanc.
A resident of Cap-Pelé most of her life, Stella moved to Shediac where she resided at Residence Belcourt for 24 years. The last four years of her life she resided at Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe, where she felt comfortable with the residence and caring staff.
She is survived by two daughters: Ella Wagner (Barry) of Moncton and Marie Boudreau of Shediac; three sons: Ola (Jeannette) and Paul Melanson (Brenda) all of Grand-Barachois and Legis (Huberte) of Dieppe; two daughter in-laws: Anne-Marie Cormier (late Ovide "Bibi") of Shediac and Gisèle Cormier (late Roger) of Bas-Cap-Pelé; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel (1979); two sons: Roger and Ovide "Bibi"; four sisters: Anita, Dorice, Delia and Madeleine; four brothers: Robert, Eloi, Emery and Damien.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Sunday February 23, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Monday from 9:30 am. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Monday February 24, 2014 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

LEBLANC, DAMIEN P. - Damien P. LeBlanc, 82 of Saint-André-LeBlanc passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Saint-André January 18, 1927, he was the son of the late Pierre LeBlanc and the late Émilienne Bourgeois. Mr. LeBlanc was a heavy equipment operator with J. D. Irving Woodland prior to his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Jeannine (Goguen) LeBlanc; two daughters: Rosaline Léger (Oscar) of Haute Aboujagane, Pierrette LeBlanc at home; three sons: Valeri (Françine) of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Jacques (Lucille) of Shediac, Michel (Monique) of Cormier Village; one sister Stella Cormier of Shediac, seven grandchildren: Réjean, Yves, Julie, Jason, Brandon, André, Denis, one great granddaughter Jolène and by many nieces and nephews. Family stories told how Sylvain and Elizabeth travelled by train from their home in Strathcona, Nova Scotia to visit relatives in Haute Aboujagane, NB. Their baby was sick when they were travelling on the train. Someone told thenm that their baby looked like it was going to die and Sylvain, the baby's father, became very annoyed with the person and wanted to punch him out. Shortly after their arrival in Haute Aboujagane, the baby died and was buried in the old part of the Haute Aboujagane graveyard. That baby was Joseph Damien Vienneau, their first born.23. Flora McKinnon
1924-2016
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Flora Mary McKinnon, age 92, of Joggins, NS. Flora passed away peacefully at Gables Lodge on Sunday, October 23, 2016 with her family by her side.
Born in Joggins, NS, she was a daughter of the late Sylvain and Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Vienneau.
She was a member of the Joggins Legion Auxiliary, Branch #4, and a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church. She loved to gather and enjoy berries of the season. Flora was a loving and giving person and especially adored all children. Â
She is survived by children; Shirley Comeau (Bernell), River Hebert, Ruby Comeau (Gornald), River Hebert, Eleanor Poplar (Keith), Brookdale, Joan McKinnon, Joggins, Joyce Mahoney (Travis), Westville, NS, Linda Jackson (Walter), Leicester, NS; Bernice Shipley (David), Brookdale; Marie McKinnon (Ivan Arseneau), Brookdale; Margaret Dwyer (Rick), Maccan, NS, John McKinnon, (Beverly) Amherst, NS, Bruce (Michelle) McKinnon, River Hebert;Â Corinne McKinnon (Mervil Rushton), Leicester, NS, Maurice McKinnon, Joggins, several grandchildren, great and greatgreat grandchildren; sister-in-law Annie Vienneau, Dartmouth, NS.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Main Street, River Hebert (902-667-8777) from where family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass for Flora will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, Joggins, on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

OBITUARY
Ola L. LeBlanc
Ola L. LeBlanc, 81, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Waverley Ave., Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday February 21, 2012. Born in Saint André, he was the son of the late Theophile and Ida (Allain) LeBlanc. Ola was retired from Boudreau Sheet Metal Works with 20 years service. He enjoyed bowling at Fairlanes, woodcarving, drawing, playing guitar and violin, watching sports, especially boxing and hockey (avid Montreal Canadiens fan), socializing with his friends and spending time with his family.
Ola will be sadly missed by his wife of over 31 years, Alfreda "Freda"(LeBlanc) LeBlanc; daughter, Tammy Gorman (Scott) of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Logan and Kieara; sister-in-law, Anne LeBlanc (Paul Gaudet) of Moncton; brother-in-law, Emile LeBlanc of Winnipeg; sisters, Bernice Duguay (Henri) of Saint André, Eva LeBlanc (Pat) of Cap Pele, Mary-Mai LeBlanc of Louisiana, USA, Leona Goguen (Alphonse) of Saint André; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ovila, André and Yvon; sister, Doris; mother-in-law, Mary (Little Mary) LeBlanc; brother-in-law, Henry LeBlanc.

Doris Goguen
1933-2008
Doris Goguen, 75, passed away suddenly at her residence in Cap-Pelé on Monday, December 22, 2008. Born September 7, 1933 in Saint-André, she was the daughter of the late Théophile and Ida (Gallant) LeBlanc. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Goguen worked at Four Seasons Restaurant in Shediac, and then with School District #11.
She will be sadly missed by her special friend Mathias Vautour of Cap-Pelé, one daughter Norma Brine (Joe) of Saint-André, three sons: Donald (Bernice) and Douglas (Jennifer) both of Saint-André, and Danny (Jocelyne) of Cap-Pelé; four sisters: Eva LeBlanc (Pat) of Cap-Pelé, Léona Goguen (Alphonse) and Bernice Duguay (Henri-Eugène) both of Saint-André, and Marie-Mai LeBlanc of Louisiana; one brother Ola LeBlanc (Freda) of Moncton; four grandchildren: Jason, Nadine, Joey, Cynthia; four great grandchildren: Monika, Michael, Abigail and Véronique; and by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Goguen, and by three brothers: Yvon, André and Ovila LeBlanc.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:20 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday,December 24, 2008 at Ste Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
