DellaMary Brownell

Della Mary Brownell, age 99, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 2, 2009. Born in Upper Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Natalie (Richard) LeBlanc.
Della was a devoted wife and mother, and a dedicated member of the Sackville Parish.
She will be sadly missed by daughters, Jean (Roger)Methot, Memramcook, Sadie (Kenneth) Steeves, Sackville, Bettty Ann (Herman) Cummings, Thunder Bay, ON; sons, Jerry (Mary Lou) Brownell, Sackville, and Sidney Brownell (special friend Muriel), Sackville; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, Della was also predeceased by her husband Marven, son Alton, grandchildren, Jimmy, Leslie and Gordon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, (364-1300), from where visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, at 11 am from St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Della may be made to the Holy Rosary Cemetery, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

The death of Irene MaryEstabrooks, 91, occurred peacefully in Sackville on Monday,March 17, 2014. Born in Sackville, Irene was a daughter of the late Timothy and Alvina (Melanson) LeBlanc.
Irene was a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church in Sackville.
She had worked at Mount Allison University for a number of years. When she lived on Richardson Street, she enjoyed and participated in many tea and birthday parties with her friends and neighbours. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie (Ken Nantais) Lines, Amherst, two grandchildren, Tania (Patrick) Lines, Sackville and Lisa (David) Estabrooks; five great grandchildren, Timothy, Amber, Alyshea, Brianne, and Riley; 3 brothers, Leonard (Bea), Edgar (Gloria), and Levi (Evangeline), all of Sackville. Â
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Russell; a daughter in infancy; and her brothers, Charles, Henry, Emile, Ronald and Rene.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation will take place from 7-9 pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. A funeral service will be held from St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville on Thursday at 11 am. Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.

Margaret Melanson
Surrounded by her family, Margaret M. Melanson, age 89, of Port Howe, formerly of Amherst, passed away peacefully at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash on Saturday,October 2, 2010.
Born in Middle Sackville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Moses and Gertrude (White) LeBlanc.
Growing up, she was a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church,
Sackville, and later St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, Amherst.
Margaret was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, raising her family, as well as tending children in her home after her own had grown up. She was the hostess at the Fort Cumberland Hotel for many years Margaret enjoyed fishing, clamming, gardening, camping, traveling, tending to her flower beds and visits from her many friends. Upon their retirement, she and her husband Leon moved to their Cottage at Heather Beach where they enjoyed spending their time together. She always looked forward to family gatherings, especially the family reunion, enjoying the fellowship of family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Leon; sons Donald and John David; grandchild, Terri-Lynn; brothers, Bobby, David; sisters Rita Walsh, and Jean White.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (902-667-8777). Visiting hours will take place at the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home from 9:30 until the time of the Funeral Mass which will be held from Holy Family Parish Church at 11 am on Wednesday, October 7,2010, Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Burial will take place at the St. Charles Cemetery at a later date.

Obituary of Roy J. LeBlanc
Sackville, N.B. - The death of Roy J. LeBlanc, age 75, of Sackville, N.B., occurred on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Sackville, N.B. on November 1, 1931, he was the son of the late Doss White and Geneva Bourque. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters Linda (Bradley) Estabrooks of Sackville, N.B. and Susan (Bill) Springer of Sackville, N.B. and his son Terry (Bonny) LeBlanc of Sackville, N.B.; five brothers and sisters, Louise Dobson of Sackville, N.B., Jean Parrish of Oshawa, Ontario, Joseph LeBlanc of Fenelon Falls, Ontario, Margaret Richardson of Calgary, Alberta and Sandra (Bob) Dawson of Powassan, Ontario; Special Friend Gwen Delaney of Sackville, N.B.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Lionel LeBlanc and his step-mother Sarah. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from 7-9 PM from Campbell’s Funeral Home. Jean M Methot
1931– 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce that our mom has gone to bewith her beloved husband.  Jean Mary Methot, 91, of Sackville, passed away at the Drew Nursing Home on Monday, December 26, 2022. Jean was born in Sackville, a daughter of the late Marven and Della (LeBlanc) Brownell and the widow of the late Roger Methot.
The oldest of her family, she moved to Moncton at 16 and met Roger who would soon become her husband for over 70 years. She loved making crafts and cooking and square dancing with her husband. They loved to travel, and wintered in Florida for many years. Jean also loved her dogs, and in particular poodles.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Victor) Tower, Westcock, Robert (Cathy), Moncton, Debbie Breau, Riverview, David (Charlene Bulmer), Dorchester; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great greatgrandchildren; sisters Sadie (Kenny) Steeves, Sackville, Betty (Doug) Graydon, Thunder Bay, ON; brother Gerry, Moncton, Sydney, Sackville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son James; two grandchildren, Amy and Robert Paul Jr., as well as her brother, Alton.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care and guidance of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville (506-364-1300). Following cremation, a funeral service for the family will take place at the funeral home on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11 am. Interment will take place at the Chertersville (sic) Lady of Calvary Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
