    Mrs. Olive Georgina Robertson wife of the late Frank Robertson of Tabusintac, NB, passed away Wednesday evening June 10, 2015 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 94.
    Born in Maple Glen, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (McCormack) Sobey. She was a homemaker.
    She is survived by two daughters; Carole Denino of Tabusintac and June Cowan (Donald) of Tabusintac, four sons; Gary (Diane) of Oxford NS, Orin (Beverley) of Amherst NS, Michael (Carol) of Seattle Washington, Donald (Diane) of Tabusintac, 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by one son Charles, son-in-law John Denino, four sisters, Alberta, Ina, Rita and Marion, one brother, Wesley.
    Mrs. Olive Georgina Robertson is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Friday evening from 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac. In memory of Olive donations may be made to Miramichi Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or the Miramichi SPCA.
    Arrangements are in care of Davidson’s Funeral Home.

    MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Mr. Wesley Curtis, husband of Annie Curtis of Avanti Blvd., Miramichi, NB occurred on Friday, November 28, 2003 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 66. Born in Newcastle, he is the son of Marion (Sobey) Curtis of Miramichi and the late Edward Curtis. Besides his wife Annie, Wesley is survived by three sons, Gary (Janice) of Millerton, NB, Terrance (Joanne) of Moncton, NB, and Steven (Tammy) of Victoria, BC; one daughter, Darlene LaTullipe (Dale) of Miramichi, NB; two brothers, Edward of Riverview, NB, Arlen of Alisa Craig, ON; four sisters, Verna Cronkhite of London, ON, Shirley McLean of West Hill, ON, Margaret Smith of West Hill, ON, Betty Fitzgerald of Scarborough, ON; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Wesley is predeceased by his father, Edward; two sisters, Sherrille Randall and Winona Curtis; and one brother, James. At the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral service.     MARSH, SHIRLEY (1936-2009) The family announces with great sorrow her death after a brief illness at the Timmins and District Hospital, Timmins, Ont. on Monday, March 23, 2009 at age 72 years. Shirley was born in Maple Glen, N.B. She is survived by her husband Ralph Marsh of Timmins. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Edith Marsh (1959) and her parents Wesley and Sarah Jean Sobey of Maple Glen, N.B. Beloved mother of David (wife Michelle) of Rustenburg, Jeannie Marsh (husband Norman) of Timmins, Barbara Courtemanche (husband Andy) of Sudbury, Myra Gagnon (husband Roger) of Timmins, Heather Marsh (husband Gerald) of Stratford and Rodney (wife Paula) of Timmins. Cherished grandmother of Monica, Michael, Jennifer, Wesley, Bradley, Gregory, Cynthia, Andy, Richard, Alicia, Gina, Julia, Megan, Rebecca, Tiffany and Mathew and great-grandmother of many loving great- grandchildren.     SOBEY, Stephen Hugh “Steve”, age 61 of Mount Uniacke passed away peacefully at the QEII Health Science Centre,VG Site, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with   cancer. Born in Newcastle, N.B. Jan. 3, 1952, he was the son of the late Wesley and Jean ( Cadger) Sobey. As a young man, Steve worked in the mines in N.B. before moving to Halifax to follow a lengthy occupation in the glass business and most recently as a hydraulics’ technician. He enjoyed snowmobiling, promoting his son and daughter in stock car racing, playing darts, curling and belonged to the metro pool league for a number of years. Survived are his loving wife of 40 years, Erma of Mount Uniacke, daughter Veronica Sobey, Porters Lake,  son Wesley, Mount Uniacke, brothers Charles ( Cindy) Sobey North Bay, Ont., John “Jack” ( Elvina) Sobey, Chatham, N.B. , sister-in-law Beryl Sobey, grandchildren Hannah and Mary, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Vincent and sisters, Lillian, Hazel and Shirley. No visitation will be held. Memorial service will be held at Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth on Tuesday February 12 at 2pm. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place with burial at Maple Glen Cemetery, N.B. at a later date. Flowers from family only. Donations may be made in Steve’s  memory  to the Canadian Cancer or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A special thank-you is extended from the family to the Palliative Care Team of the V.G. Hospital and also family and friends who visited during Steve's stay in hospital.

    The death of Donna Marion Sobey of Maple Glen, NB occurred at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi , NB on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the age of 72. Born in Maple Glen, NB , Donna was the daughter of the late Walter and Ina Sobey.

    Donna was a retired stenographer and did missionary work for 25 years.

    Survived by three sisters: Iona Redmond of South Nelson, NB, Eleanor Geikie of Newcastle, NB and Audrey Sobey of Maple Glen, NB. Two brothers: George (Ruth) and Boyd (Joan) all of Maple Glen, NB.and several nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by: one sister Ruth and two brothers: Vance and Wendall.

    Visitation was held at Bell's Funeral Home, on Tuesday, July 7, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Service was held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 8, 2004 at @ P.M. with Gordon Hazelwood and Jim Abbot officiating. Organist: Veralynn Harrison. Congregational Hymns: Precious Thought My Father Knowth and Only Remembered. Active Pallbearers: Shelton Sobey, Jim MacIntosh, Hazen Smallwood, Stephen MacDonald, Myles Sobey and Vance Sobey Jr. Burial followed in the Maple Glen Cemetery, Maple Glen, NB.

    Charles F. Robertson Charles F. (Chuck) Robertson of Hinton, Alberta passed away suddenly July 8, 2002. Born in Tabusintac, NB, son of Mrs. Olive (Sobey) Robertson and the late Frank Robertson. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife Gloria; three sons, Bradley, Jay and Frank; two sisters, Carole Denino, Tabusintac, June Cowan (Don), Tabusintac; four brothers, Gary (Dianne) Oxford, NS, Orin (Beverly), Amherst, NS, Donald (Diane) Tabusintac, Michael (Carole) Seattle, Wash; nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Newcastle, NB on Monday July 15, 2002 from 12 noon until 2:30 pm. The funeral service will be held from Davidson's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday 3pm with Mr. Gordon Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac.
