    Myrtle A. Grant, 83 passed away May 3, 2002 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital, Woodstock, suddenly after a long and fulfilling life. She was born May 8, 1918 in Northampton to Harold and Lila (Duplisea) Bulmer. She was predeceased by her husband Ansley in 1954; her companion and best friend, Chester in 1992; her brother Leonard in 1998 and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her children, Donald (Margaret) of Swift Current, Sask., Beecher of Grafton, N.B., Douglas (Kathleen) of Belleville, N.B., Ansley of Limestone, N.B., Avis (Murle) of Limestone, N.B., Dorma of Kingston, Ont., and Donna of Victoria, B.C. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren (spouses); 19 great-grandchildren (spouses); one great-great granddaughter; her beloved sister Hazel, nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Myrtle lived all of her life in the Woodstock area. She was a prolific knitter and everyone in the community benefitted from her talent. Her early years were spent in Kilmarnock and she always treasured her trips back. Her son Beecher was her helpmate and they lived on Charles Street for 58 years before they moved to Grafton. Her daughter Avis took care of her faithfully. Myrtle was an active member of the Salvation Army until the last few years but she always did her Bible reading every day and loved the Lord.
    Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 7 at the Scott Funeral Home with Captain Nelson Watkins officiating. A special tribute was shared by her daughter, Dorma. Interment followed at The Kirk.
    Those who choose may contribute a donation in her memory to the Canadian Red Cross, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Salvation Army.

    Hazel Mary Fredericks 1920-2007

    Hazel Mary Fredericks passed away on September 13, 2007 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, NB. Hazel was born in Northampton, Carleton Co., NB, on February 7, 1920.

    Predeceased by her mother Lila Beatrice Duplisea in 1956, father Harold Leonard Bulmer in 1952. Also predeceased by her husband Irey Albert Fredericks in 1977, brother Leonard Bulmer in 1998, sister, Myrtle Grant in 2002, a daughter Dorothy in 1991, son Harry in 2006.

    Hazel is survived by son, George Fredericks of Nanaimo, BC, daughter, Josephine Williams of Woodstock, NB, daughter, Myrtle (Leo) Sutherland of Houlton, daughter, Inez (Elwood) Scott of Houlton, son, David Fredericks of Nanaimo, BC, son, Richard Fredericks of Nanaimo, BC, son, Robert (Gloria) Fredericks of Kirkland, NB, daughter, Cora (Robert) Lozier of Newburg, NB, daughter, Mary (Reginald) Moore of St. Catherine’s, Ontario, Hazel (Cleveland) Belyea of Kirkland, NB, son, Michael (Betty) Fredericks of Woodstock, NB, daughter, Bernice (Thomas) Martin of Augusta, Maine, daughter, Laura (Calvin) Miller of Woodstock, NB, son, Lawrence Fredericks of East Newbridge, NB, daughter, Nancy (Carl) Williams of Woodstock, NB, and daughter, Christina Fredericks of Woodstock, NB.     Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Jacksonville on Sunday, September 16th, from 2 to 4 and 7to 9. A family service will be held at the Salvation Army Church in Woodstock on Monday, September 17th at 2 PM. Service will be conducted by Capt. Mae Wales. Interment will be at the Kirk Cemetery.

    Beecher Nelson Grant

    GRANT, Beecher Nelson - of Grafton passed away at him home on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at the age of 69.

    Beecher is survived by three brothers Donald L. Grant of Woodstock, NB, Ansley S. Grant of Grafton, NB, Douglas E. Grant ( Kathleen ) of Belleville, NB; three sisters Avis Wright ( Merle ) of Limestone, NB, Dorma Grant of Kingston, ON, Donna L. Grant of Camrose, AB; He was predeceased by his parents Ansley and Myrtle ( Bulmer ) Grant.

    Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB , with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 3:30 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Captain Mae P. Wales will be officiating, with interment in the Kirk Cemetery.
