    FIELDS, Charles William J. - 57, of 15 York St., Amherst, died Sunday at home.  Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Lou and Ethel Fields.  He was a former employee of the N.S. Power Corporation and the Enterprise Foundry.  Several years ago he purchased the Hanwright Foundry in Amherst, now known as Central Casting Ltd.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He is survived by his wife, the former Mrs. Patricia (Pat) Helpard, a daughter, Debbie (Mrs. Danny Martin), Springhill; six step-granddaughters, Kelly (Mrs. George Douglas), Shelly Rushton and Kimberly Rushton, all of Amherst; Sandra (Mrs. Darren Ibbitson), Fort Lawrence; Belinda and Karen, at home; a sister, Doris Patterson, Lorneville; a brother, Lou, Whitby, Ont.; his stepfather, Joseph Brown, Ontario; and four grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Smith.  Funeral service will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, David Bradley officiating.  Burial will be in the Amherst Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at their home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
