    The death of Mrs. Susie Annie GREENO, of 10 West Pleasant St., Amherst, and formerly of Lorneville, occurred at Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst, following a brief illness. She was 78. Born in Lorneville, she was the daughter of the late David and Etta (Goodwin) Oulton. Mrs. Greeno was an RNA in maternity, having trained in a private hospital in Sommerville, Mass. For many years she acted as a mid-wife in her home area. She was a life member of the Lorneville UCW and an adherent of Lorneville United Church and a former choir member. She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Thelma (Mrs. Ronald O'Neill) of Amherst and Roberta (Mrs. Peter Lynch) of Long Valley, N.J.; three brothers, James of Brookdale, Ernest of Lakeburn, N.B., and Hibbert of Northport; two grandchildren, Vicki and Jeffery O'Neill; and many nieces and nephews. The remains rested at Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst, where the funeral was held on Monday, Oct. 13, 1986, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Kevin MacKenzie officiating. Burial took place in Lorneville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the VON, Lorneville United Church, Heart Foundation, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

    OULTON, James Oliver - 92, Centennial Villa, formerly of Brookdale, died May 28, 2002, in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Lorneville, he was a son of the late David and Etta (Goodwin) Oulton. Surviving are son, Wayne; step-daughter, Norma Crawford (Thomas); step-son, Ancil Mills; brothers, Ernest, Hibbert; granddaughter, Angela; five stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Nova Chapman; his second wife, the former, Ethel (Beaton) Mills; sister, Susie Greeno. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst.
    Funeral 2 p.m. Friday in Cumberland Memorial Chapel, Danny Compton officiating. Burial in Lorneville Cemetery.

    Ernest E. Oulton, of Dieppe NB, passed away at The Chamberland Regional Health Care Center in Amherst on Monday, February 17, 2003 at the age of 88 years. Born in Lorneville, NS on March 18, 1914 he was the son of the late David and Etta (Goodwin) Oulton. Ernest retired from Coca Cola after 25 years service. He is survived by his wife, Eileen E. (Chapman); and brother, Hibbert Oulton of Northport, NS. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Susie Greenough, and brother, James Oulton. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Margaret Outerbridge officiating. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens Donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.     Hibbert "Hibby" W. Oulton
    1919-2013
    Hibbert W. Oulton, 93 years of age, of Northport, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lorneville he was a son of the late David & Etta (Goodwin) Oulton.
    Hibby worked as a mechanic all of his life. He loved antique cars and took great pride refurbishing all models. His pride and joy was showing off his Buick & Dodge. Hibbert loved Old Time and Bluegrass music. In his free time he loved to play the accordion. He enjoyed hunting and being in the woods.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Doreen Greeno, daughter, Carolyn Ann Brine (Christopher) of Calgary; son, Rodger (Sylvia) of Northport, granddaughter, Amanda Lowther (Scott) of Saint John, great grandson, Bailey; three step grandsons, Keith, Chris & Brad; seven step great grandchildren and special nephew, Wilson Moore.
    Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Susie; brothers, James "Jimmy", Ernest "Ernie"
    Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St. Amherst, NS (667-8777). The family will receive visitors at the Furlong-Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 7-9 p.m and Thursday  Feb 7 from 1pm - 2pm.  A memorial service will be held at the Furlong-Jones Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, at 2 p.m. with Ruth Gamble DLM officiating. Burial will take place in the Lorneville United Church Cemetery in the spring.
    Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Lorneville United church or the Sunrise Senior Citizens.

    Thelma Joyce O’Neill
    June 13, 1939 - February 28, 2008

    AMHERST - Thelma Joyce O’Neill age 68, of Amherst passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, N.S. with her family by her side.
    Born in Lorneville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Susie (Oulton) Greeno.
    Thelma was employed through the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission working at the stores in Amherst and Pugwash. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, crafts and spending time at the cottage. She attended the Immanuel United Church, Amherst and while at her cottage in Linden she attended the Renwick United Church.
    Thelma is survived by her husband Ron, one son Jeff of Dartmouth, one sister Roberta (Peter) Lynch of Utah, USA., several aunts, uncles and cousins.
    She is predeceased by one daughter Vicki Lynn in 1989.Her remains will rest at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst with visiting on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Rev. Margie Patterson and Rev. Steve Longmoore officiating. Interment will take place in the Lorneville Cemetery in the spring.
    Donations in Thelma’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
