Alice C. Morrell 1917-2005 Mrs. Alice C. Morrell of Moncton, passed away on Monday, November 7th, 2005, at Camden Park Terrace, Moncton. Born in Gaythorne, NB, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Estella (Brown) Palmer. She was a retired Registered Nurse, a graduate of Moncton Hospital Training School. She was later employed as an occupational nurse and an employment supervisor at Eaton's Catalogue House and as an Instructor at N.B.C.C. She was a member of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, and a former Superintendent of Glad Tidings' Sunday School. She was a life member of The Moncton Hospital Nurses' Auxiliary, a former member of N.B.A.R.N., a member of the Nurses' Alumnae, a member of the Y.W.C.A. Board of Directors, a President of the Soroptimist International Service Club of Moncton, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville. She is survived by one daughter, Carol, of Saskatoon; and various cousins, nieces, and nephews in Canada and the United States. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty-eight years, John A. (Jack) Morrell; a sister, Ruby; and two brothers, Cleve, of Fredericton and William, of South Weymouth, Mass. There will be no visitation prior to the memorial service, which will be held in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10th, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service in the Garden View Room. Obituary
The death of E. Lincoln Jewett of York Manor, formerly of Jewett's Mills, husband of the late Cora Melissa (Graham) Jewett, occurred on Monday, May 19, 2003 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born in Jewett's Mills, he was the son of the late Elbridge E. and Anna F. (Palmer) Jewett. He was a member of the Mactaquac United Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and a member of the former Orange Lodge of Keswick Ridge.
Mr. Jewett is survived by his daughter, Judie A. Jewett and his son, Elbridge R. G. Jewett (Jacqueline), both of Jewett's Mills, NB; two grandchildren, Jeremy John Jewett and Robert Lincoln Jewett, both of Fort McMurray, AB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Iva M. Ware; his brother M. Pearson Jewett; and his son-in-law, Paul Merrithew.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, May 22 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, at 2 pm from the Mactaquac United Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Urquhart officiating. Interment will take place in the Mactaquac Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Church. Pallbearers for the service will be Jeremy John Jewett, Robert Lincoln Jewett, John Ware, Michael Shee, William Graham, and Henry Palmer. Lincoln Palmer TABUSINTAC, NB - Mr. Lincoln Palmer, husband of Sue (Fraser) Palmer, of Tabusintac, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday morning at the age of 74. Born in Tabusintac he was the son of the late Everett and Clara Palmer. He retired as the Distribution Manager for New Brunswick Power Commission and was an Elder at St. Andrew's (N.A.C.C.) with holding the historic Christian Faith within the United Church of Canada in Tabusintac. Lincoln was the past president and secretary treasurer of the Tabusintac Riverside Cemetery. Lincoln was also very active in his community and took great interest in all his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his wife; one daughter, Cindy Savoie (Renaud) of Miramichi; one son, Neal of Edmonton; one sister, Alyuna Johnston (Walter) of Campton; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Mitchell and Jason and several nieces and nephews and cousins. One brother Abram predeceased, Lincoln. The family received relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 -4 and 7 -9. The funeral service will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel today, Friday at 2 P.M. with Rev. Ron Feltmate and Rev. John Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Tabusintac. As expression of sympathy donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donors choice.
