Obituary

Ronald W Chapman
1935- 2021
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ronald Walter Chapman, age 86, of Brookdale, NS.  Ron passed away at home on Saturday,November 13, 2021. Born in Truemanville, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Helen (Smith) Chapman.
Ron enjoyed bass and flounder fishing, hunting, biking and camping with Rose. Ron loved anything to do with the outdoors. He was a family man and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved his dogs.  
Ron will be dearly missed by his wife Rose; children Paul (Kathy) of Amherst, Michael (Tina) of Saskatchewan and Pauline (Mark) Blacklock of Truemanville; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Jeffery. 
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre, Amherst, NS, (902 667 8777) where a private family visitation and funeral will be held. Donations in memory of Ron may be made to charity of choice. Obituary

Jeff Chapman
August 27, 1961 - November 25, 2019

Jeff (aka Papa) passed away peacefully at the young age of 58. He leaves behind his wife Fran, parents Ronald and Rose, brothers Paul (Kathy) and Mike (Tina), sister Pauline (Mark), daughters Jennifer (Jorden) and Joanne (John), granddaughters Makayla, Keiara, and Kenzie. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
During the past few years he was able to enjoy two Caribbean vacations with his wife and friends aboard their catamaran and a cross Canada drive with his wife. He spent his summers at Spider Lake Springs Resort where he made many close friends, lots of fun memories with his family and growing and sustaining his extravagant vegetable garden for all to enjoy. Jeff was known as the "fire guy" around the camp ground with his blazing fires and excessive wood supply. Jeff enjoyed endless adventures with his granddaughters (Parksville sandcastles, Coombs, Goldstream Park, Chemainus theatre, and much more) as well as fishing, camping swimming in the pond, sitting around the fire, and having the "occasional" Crown Royal. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, cheeky laugh, wit, and quick comebacks (not as quick as his wife's though). Papa will also be remembered for constantly mixing up the names of his daughters and granddaughters.
In Jeff's words only the good die young, and you're all full of MALARKEY!!!!!!
