    COMEAU, Rose Ann - The death of Rose Ann Comeau, age 87, of Joggins, occurred in Cumberland Regional Health Care Center on Thursday, October 12, 2006. Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Barrett) Scopie. Rose was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, Joggins, and the Christmas Club. Rose will be sadly missed by daughter, Dianne (Cecil) Brown, Southampton; sons, Wayne (Eileen), Toronto, Ont.; and Gornald (Ruby), River Hebert East (Strathcona); sister, Sadie LeForest, Halifax; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred (1987); a daughter, Laura and a son Bernard (both in 2006); two sons in infancy; sisters, Eva, Annie, Mary and Sophie; and brothers, Mike, Leo, Charles, Bill and Frank; granddaughter, Rosemarie. The remains have been entrusted into the care of Furlong Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (667-8777), with visitation Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Cumberland Memorial Chapel, 23 Prince Arthur St., Amherst, on Monday, October 16, at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Denis Cemetery, Minudie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. www.furlongjones.ca
